Paige DeSorbo Reveals the Incident That Could've Ended Her & Craig Conover's Relationship Sooner tram

Paige DeSorbo says her breakup with Craig Conover “probably” should’ve happened much sooner.

The Summer House cast member confirmed the split in late 2024, about three years after she began dating the Southern Charm-er. Paige previously revealed that her decision to call it quits was based on several factors, including poor communication and conflicting priorities; however, the New York native admitted she began having doubts about a year and a half into their relationship, when she allegedly caught Craig texting other women.

Paige DeSorbo explains why she didn't break up with Craig Conover earlier

“Honestly, I don’t know if it was platonic or anything more, but there were multiple times in our relationship where I gave him so much grace,” she said in a recent interview with Vulture. “Like, should I have broken up with him a year and a half ago when I saw him texting hearts to a girl? Probably. But again, I loved him and I wanted to marry him.”

Fans heard the texting allegation during the Summer House Season 9 premiere, which teased the breakup’s messy aftermath. One scene captured Paige expressing frustration over the rumor that she had cheated on Craig before their split. Although Craig never accused his ex-girlfriend of being unfaithful, Paige said she was upset that he didn’t immediately deny the allegations.

“I’m like, ‘Craig, what are you talking about?’ I feel like you’re so betraying me right now,” she told her castmates Amanda Batula and Lindsay Hubbard. “You’re going to let people say that I’m a cheater. I caught you texting two b-tches in the course of our relationship. Now you’re dead to me.”

Craig addressed the texting scandal during a February appearance on the Tamron Hall Show, saying Paige’s claim had no truth.

“It was disappointing to see the direction that her and the show went because I’m just grateful for the three years of a relationship that we had,” he said. “It was really great. I am a 100 times better version of myself now than I was, and I think she is too… I never cheated, and I think the best thing you can have in a relationship is that security, not worrying what your partner is doing… But you can’t control other people.”

Craig also said the alleged texting incident had nothing to do with their breakup.

“I think it was a retaliatory scene,” he said about Paige's aforementioned comments. “She got a lot of backlash for the breakup, which I was disappointed at. At the end of the day, she fell out of love. I wasn’t the right person for her, and I think that’s OK. It is OK.”

Despite all the post-breakup drama, Paige insisted she was “proud" of her decision to part ways with Craig. See what she had to say about the split and the support she’s received from fans.
