When announcing her exit from Summer House, Paige DeSorbo made a reassuring promise to her fans: “You haven’t seen the last of me.” And we’re happy to report the multi-hyphenate kept her word.
Paige returned to the small screen on Sunday, January 15, for a special appearance on Season 7 of Peacock’s Love Island USA. She took on guest-hosting duties for Episode 12’s “Got Wood,” a lumberjack-themed game that included physical challenges, makeout sessions, and spicy questions.
“My wishes have been granted,” she captioned a promotional shot for the gig. “Retiring see you never.”
Ariana Madix says she "would love" for Paige DeSorbo to be on Love Island
The cameo went down after Love Island USA host Ariana Madix expressed interest in having Paige on the dating series, as she had broken up with Southern Charm’s Craig Conover just several months before.
“I would love to have Paige DeSorbo on Love Island,” the Vanderpump Rules alum told E! News. “I think she would be so much fun. She’s hot and so smart and witty, and I think she would just bring something really fun to the villa.”
Paige reacted to Ariana’s comments in a May interview with Elite Daily, saying she appreciated the kind words but didn’t see herself joining the show as a contestant.
“What a queen. Thank you for manifesting for me, Ariana. That’s a girl’s girl,” she told the outlet. “I don’t think I would ever go on it as a contestant. They’re all 21 years old — they’d be like, ‘Whose aunt is this?’ But I would love to host a challenge or do something with Ariana. I also want to see the house. I don’t think I’d stir the pot — once you’re a year younger than me, I think of you as a baby — but I would definitely want all the tea.”
A day after the Episode 12 premiere, Paige shared several photos from the guest-hosting job, including a behind-the-scenes shot of her dressing room.
"Thank you [Ariana] for lending me the islanders," she captioned the carousel.
Paige DeSorbo opens up about leaving Summer House
On June 5, Paige confirmed she was leaving Summer House after a seven-season run. She reflected on her decision in the June 10 episode of Giggly Squad, her popular podcast with Summer House alum, Hannah Berner.
“I feel like when you make a drastic switch in your life, and before you do it, you’re like, ‘But how am I going to feel when I do it? What if I regret it?’ I was dealing with that,” she said. “I feel good. It’s kind of also like graduating college. You’re like, ‘Oh, this is sad.’ But, like, ‘No, I want to go to that next step.’ I just feel like I gave all I could give… I’m so excited.”
