The Summer House cast is currently filming Season 9, and fans are anticipating drama between former couple Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard. After all, last season was a real doozy, with the duo constantly fighting in the months before Carl called off the wedding. But their co-star, Paige DeSorbo revealed in a recent interview that the share house has been relatively drama-free this summer.
Perhaps it helps that Lindsay is in a very good place in her life. She and the man of her dreams are expecting a baby together. And Carl recently opened a sober bar called Soft.
So with the former lovers in a better place nearly a year after splitting up, it might be expected that they simply wouldn’t bother being difficult towards each other.
Paige DeSorbo thinks it helps that Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard were “friends for so long”
Paige exclusively told E! News about the atmosphere in the shared house.
“It’s actually been fine,” the Giggly Squad podcast host said. “I think because they were friends for so long, it’s not as hard I think people thought it was going to be for them to coexist. Obviously there’s been a few things, we’ve definitely had some drama in the house. It wouldn’t be us if we didn’t, but it’s been pretty chill.”
Lindsay and Carl are on “two totally different paths.” It’s easier to see now that calling off the wedding in August of 2023 was the right decision.
“They’re both very happy, very content,” Paige explained. “I think it just further proves that it was a great decision for the both of them.”
The fashion contributor is known for relaxing in bed as much as possible while filming. And she joked that she’s been using Lindsay’s pregnancy to that advantage.
“It’s been fun because I’ve just been using her pregnancy as an excuse for myself,” Paige revealed. “I’m like, ‘Sorry, I just really can’t play any games today. I don’t, you know, that’s dangerous.’ Or if I don’t wanna stay out late I’m like, ‘Sorry, we’re pregnant. We have to go home.'”
“I’m so thankful that she’s pregnant,” the veteran Bravolebrity added. “It’s a different experience obviously than we’ve ever experienced, so it’s been really fun.”
Lindsay’s pregnancy is the Summer House event of the season. She announced that she and her boyfriend will be welcoming a baby girl in December 2024.
