Podcasters Christine McGuinness and Sophie Gravia were among the guests on ITV's Loose Women on Thursday when one let slip a naughty word

Loose Women host Kaye Adams found herself in an awkward situation during Thursday's episode when a guest dropped a rude word live on air.

Kaye issued an apology to viewers
Christine McGuinness and her pal Sophie Gravia were appearing on the ITV show to discuss their new podcast Situationships with Sophie and Christine, for BBC Sounds, in which they delve into listeners’ dating dilemmas, relationship revelations and situationship struggles.

Each week, audiences will be taken on a rollercoaster ride of funny, bizarre and downright weird stories of when relationships take an unexpected turn.

As well as offering judgement-free advice, Sophie and Christine will give a glimpse into their own lives and situationships as they juggle the pressures of dating, parenting and their careers.

On Loose Women - which included Nadia Sawalha, Jane Moore and Oti Mabuse on the panel - the pair shared some of their own dating experiences.

Award-winning writer Sophie, known for her erotic fiction, opened up on one awkward situation she found herself in while dating as a single mum.

But as she explicitly detailed how she walked into a room to to find the man she was dating full "b****cks" naked, much to the amusement of the panel and the live audience, Kaye found herself having to talk over the noise to issue an apology.

Recalling the date, Sophie said: "I went to the bathroom at his house, walked out of the bathroom, opened the living room door, he was b****cks naked," as loud coughs could be heard from the panel and Nadia pulled a face.

But Sophie continued her story and as the studio roared, Kaye interrupted saying: "I just want to say that expression about being naked is a very well-known Glasgow phrase but sometimes people don't like it so I do apologise if you didn't like it."

After Sophie's admission, mother-of-three Christine, the ex-wife of TV host Paddy McGuinness, was asked about her relationship situation after she recently confessed to having dated both men and women.

She told the panel that she doesn't like to put a label on her sexuality.

She said: "I feel people's energy, that's important to me, I have to spend a lot of time with someone before I figure out if I want to carry on or not (seeing them)."

Loose Women is on ITV1 weekdays at 12.30pm and ITVX
