No Tickets, No Fans: Eddie Hearn Confirms Times Square ‘Fatal Fury’ As Exclusive, Invitation-Only Spectacle trucc

Promoter Eddie Hearn says tickets won’t be sold for the May 2nd ‘Fatal Fury’ event at Times Square in New York City. Hearn says the event is for the “TV experience” for fans at home to enjoy, but tickets won’t be sold to the general public.

EXCLUSIVE EVENT

He states there will be people at the event, but he’s not saying who they’ll be. It’s an exclusive event. It’s disappointing to the fans who had hoped to see the three fights on the card live at Times Square, but it’s not happening.

VIP Audience

– VIPs – Celebrities – Media personnel – Invited guests

This event is said to be NOT open to the general public, and there will only be a small crowd of 100 to 300 in attendance.  Fans had hoped to see these three great fights live: Ryan Garcia vs. Rolando Romero, Devin Haney vs. Jose Ramirez,, and Teofimo Lopez vs. Arnold Barboza Jr.

TV FOCUS

“There was never any intentions to sell tickets for the event,” said promoter Eddie Hearn to the media about the May 2nd, Fatal Fury event on Times Square in New York City. “I believe there will be guests there. The whole concept of these. It’s not my event. This is my opinion. It’s a TV experience.

“It’s something in a location that is quite wild. The whole fascination with this is you’re losing the gate, which I could never do. You’re literally leaving between 5 and 10 million dollars on the floor by not having a crowd. In these unique locations, it’s not about the crowd. They’ll be focusing on the TV production and the look of it. “It’s like Alcatraz, if that happens. They’re not going to put a crowd on Alcatraz Island. It’s just about the whole experience of that location. It was never the intention. It was never announced that there would be a crowd [at the ‘Fatal Fury’ event at Times Square in New York City]. I expect there will be a crowd there, but as I understand it, they won’t be selling tickets,” said Hearn.
