Nikki Bella seeking divorce lawyer after Artem Chigvintsev's domestic violence arrest: report tram

   

Nikki Bella has fallen out of step with Artem Chigvintsev. 

The 40-year-old former WWE star is allegedly looking for a divorce lawyer following her husband’s domestic violence arrest last Thursday, sources told TMZ.

On Tuesday, the outlet shared that Bella has been making calls since Friday with the intention to file for divorce from the dancer, 42.

The Post has reached out to Bella’s rep for comment.

The retired WWE star has not worn her wedding ring since the incident, as was seen when she co-hosted a hot dog eating contest in Las Vegas on Monday.

The Netflix special, “Joey Chestnut vs. Kobayashi: Unfinished Beef,” marked Bella’s first public appearance since her husband’s arrest.

The athlete was spotted sans wedding ring while boarding a private plane from California to Las Vegas on Saturday morning. Bella was joined by her and Chigvintsev’s 4-year-old son, Matteo.

Bella, who now goes by Nikki Garcia, has also asked for respect and understanding after the alleged altercation, with a rep for the reality star telling The Post Friday, “This is a private matter, and Nikki asks for privacy for her and her family at this time.”

Additionally, a source alleged to the outlet that “Dancing With the Stars” pro Chigvintsev called 911 following the alleged incident, only to call again minutes later telling emergency services not to come.

The dispatch call was released by TMZ Friday, in which the 911 operator is heard to say: “Initially this came in as requesting medical, but now the RP [reporting party] is stating he got into an argument with his wife and his wife threw shoes at RP. There is a child on scene.” 

Bella and Chigvintsev married in August 2022 and celebrated their second wedding anniversary days before the alleged altercation.

The couple marked the milestone with loving Instagram shout-outs to one another. Bella posted a reel from their 2022 Paris wedding set to Haley Reinhart’s rendition of the Elvis classic, “Can’t Help Falling in Love.” She explained the song’s special meaning for her, calling it their “love story.”

Chigvintsev also took to his own page in which he referred to Bella as his “everything.”

Chigvintsev was taken into custody by the Napa County Sheriff’s Department just before 10 a.m. on a felony domestic violence charge. After paying his $25,000 bail, the “Strictly Come Dancing” alum was released that afternoon, with his mugshot circulating online hours later.

A rep for the Napa County Sheriff’s Office told TMZ that deputies responded to a domestic violence call in the town of Yountville, and an arrest was made at the scene. Injuries were reportedly involved.

The allged victim asked for total confidentiality, per the sheriff’s rep, as the investigation remains ongoing.

Paramedics and the fire department were also reportedly en route to Chigvintsev’s home before the Broadway star’s arrest.

Following Chigvintsev’s arrest, a source told Page Six about the Mirrorball champ’s future in the ballroom: “There were no plans for Artem Chigvintsev to be a part of Season 33 of ‘Dancing With the Stars,’” which premieres September 17 on ABC.
