The TV host, 46, had undergone a cosmetic procedure called Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatment hoping to tackle ‘sun damage and pigmentation’.

IPL, also known as a photo facial, is non-invasive and can reduce hyperpigmentation and improve the colour and texture of your skin.

Myleene posted a video of herself in a car, showing off her makeup-free face and pointing out small brown spots.

‘On @loosewomen today and in case you’re wondering why I’m extra freckly,’ she wrote. ‘I had IPL (intense pulsed light) to remove years of sun damage and pigmentation.

She didn’t address the facial on the show, sporting a blue stripe shirt and a full face of makeup while on air.

‘These brown bits are going to ‘fall off soon’ apparently and give even skin tone!’ Myleene explained on Instagram.

Poking a larger patch on her head she added this wasn’t actually from the treatment — instead, she had burned her head with straighteners.

‘Can’t wait to see the results,’ Myleene added before sharing a transformation video of herself dressed for Loose Women.

IPL can set you back around £200 per session on your face and can also offer hair reduction in the treated areas.

Myleene often shares her skincare routines and makeup tricks and tips on her social media.

She revealed previously that her makeup and hair for Loose Women is done by herself rather than a glam team, stating she had ’18 minutes to get ready’ before one show.

‘I always make sure I remove my make up no matter how exhausted I am,’ the singer told Glamour previously.

She continued: ‘I also love facials, but I do get nervous of a break out afterwards, so I concentrate on using skin creams that aren’t too heavy or greasy.

‘I only wear make-up when I need to, like, when I’m seeing people in public or when I’m working. The rest of the time I like to let my skin breathe. I’m lazy when it comes to make-up!’

Her looks raised eyebrows in November when she rocked a unique get-up, seemingly preparing herself for any weather.

She debuted a stylish (if not somewhat chaotic) look that featured a plain black crop top, baggy light-wash jeans, a pair of white trainers, baseball cap and delicate light shoulder bag.

Perfect for summer but in the middle of autumn she then added a beige tartan headscarf, knee-length checkered winter coat and thick leather gloves to conquer the elements.

Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
