Last chance for NHL 24 Hockey Ultimate players to get Marner, Stützle, Ovechkin, and Trevor Kidd's new Style Icons 3.0 cards
It’s been a while since we’ve gotten new Style Icons 3.0 cards in NHL 24 Hockey Ultimate Team. Last Friday’s release of new cards introduced four upgrades to Toronto Maple Leafs Mitch Marner, Ottawa Senators Tim Stützle, Washington Capitals Alex Ovechkin, and Carolina Hurricanes alumni goaltender, Trevor Kidd.
These new cards are available to acquire via a pack opening until tomorrow Jun. 5 at 2pm PST. After that, players will have to head on over to the in-game auction house to get ahold of them.
Ovechkin’s card is by far the best considering how big he is and having 97 speed, acceleration, and agility. The ‘Great 8’ always has the best cards in Hockey Ultimate Team, and this new one is no exception.
If you’re someone who loves to run around and hit players in the NHL video game and is looking to shoot from wherever in the offensive zone, then this card is perfect for your play style.
His new 96 overall Style Icons card is the most expensive one of this new batch, going for around 450,000 to 500,000 coins on the auction house.
Marner’s card is more fun to play utilizing the abilities of Elite Edges and Puck On A String in conjunction with one another. However, his lack of size will always be a deterrence for HUT players.
Unfortunately for you Sens fans, Stützle’s card is just very average. He’s only got 95 speed and acceleration for a 94 overall card. His card is almost identical to Marner’s and it really is just another fun card to play with if you’re the type of player who likes to dangle around his opponents.
Trevor Kidd has decent size for a goaltender at 6-foot-2 and 213 pounds. However, his card is likely the third-best goaltender card representing Carolina, behind Cam Ward’s 96 Stanley Cup Playoffs card, and Frederik Andersen’s 96 Plays of the Year card.
