When Phaedra Parks no-showed at the Married to Medicine Season 11 reunion, her castmates had thoughts.
From the jump, host Andy Cohen pointed out that one of the women was "missing tonight."
Dr. Jackie Walters — who had already said in the makeup chair that she "kind of knew Phaedra was not coming" and assumed that she "didn't want to deal with" the ladies — was the first to chime in.
"I think we have enough energy and wit and wisdom in this room…" she began, before Quad Webb interjected, "So, in other words, it's not needed."
As Toya Bush-Harris replied, "I don't think it's a matter of being needed. But I would've liked her to come here and stand up for herself."
Why wasn't Phaedra Parks at the Married to Medicine reunion?
As Andy explained during the reunion, Phaedra "was invited to be here, of course," but she "chose not to come."
When Andy asked Toya if she had spoken to Phaedra recently, she explained that she had asked her to attend.
Lateasha "Sweet Tea" Lunceford offered her own explanation for Phaedra’s absence.
"I think Phaedra is just at a place right now where, ya know, she doesn’t really have a friend within the group," Sweet Tea said, noting that Phaedra "does talk to" her, Toya, and Dr. Contessa Metcalfe. "I think that she just felt like she didn't fit in."
The Married to Medicine cast addresses Phaedra's Season 11 drama
Though Phaedra was not present to speak for herself, Andy still gave the women the opportunity to discuss some of her drama from Season 11.
First, the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host pointed out that Dr. Simone Whitmore was "really offended" when Phaedra called the women "bitches" while they clashed over Med Gala planning.
"Yeah, because what type of bitches are we?" Dr. Simone asked. "We all have fantastic salaries. And let me be clear, I love my job."
The topic then moved to Phaedra filming with her ex, Apollo Nida, and the drama that ensued on the couples’ trip to Key West. "I think the issue with Phaedra was she tried to play Apollo, and she got played," Dr. Heavenly Kimes opined, before the women seemed to unanimously agree that Phaedra invited Cheick "to mess with" Apollo.
"I think it backfired," Dr. Jackie added. "I think Phaedra inviting Cheick, knowing that Cheick was friends to Apollo and Sherien, it backfired."
Phaedra Parks blasted the Married to Medicine cast in unseen footage
Noting that they were "missing Phaedra's voice," Andy handed Dr. Simone a cutout of her face, inviting her to do her best Phaedra impression. After the Atlanta OB/GYN answered, as Phaedra, if she’s "still seeing Cheick" and if her stint on Dancing with the Stars was "rigged," Andy admitted she probably "wouldn't get an Emmy" for her impersonation.
Despite Phaedra's absence, we still were able to hear her actual voice, though — and she wasn't happy, to put it mildly. In unseen footage shown at the Married to Medicine Season 11 reunion, a producer asked Phaedra what she learned from her time with the ladies.
"That they're trash," she savagely fired back. "So, I'm not going to be able to say I enjoyed anything about this group because I feel like they're demonic minions of hell."
She didn't stop there, though, adding, "They're just jealous and hateful," among other insults.
Ultimately, Phaedra — before throwing up her deuces — said she doesn’t "see a future with these ladies" because they "don't like" her.
"I like people who like me," she added in the unaired confessional. "And I don't try to participate in spaces that I'm not welcomed in. So, I'm very happy to be leaving. I'm ecstatic."
As you await the second and third parts of the reunion, don't miss where the rest of the Married to Medicine cast stands after Season 11.
