Madison LeCroy is pregnant with baby number two! And her 12-year-old son from a previous marriage, Hudson, is just a little excited about it.
The Southern Charm cast member announced on Instagram on Thursday, Feb. 6 that she is expecting her second child and first baby with her husband, Brett Randle. Now, she is sharing all of the very happy details surrounding the big news. In an interview with People, Madison admitted that Hudson was the first person (other than Brett) who she broke the news to. "He was my first one I told," she admitted.
But he didn't quite react in the way that she was expecting him to. "And yeah, he was excited," she noted. "Obviously, at first, he's like, 'Eh.' And then we recently got a puppy [Karen] so he goes, 'Actually, I really love caring, so might as well.' I was like, 'OK. This is going to be way different, but OK.'"
Bravolebrities React to Madison LeCroy's Pregnancy
Several Bravolebrities were just as excited as Hudson about Madison's good news. After Madison posted her announcement to Instagram, so many of her friends took to the comments to congratulate her.
"Hell yeah!!!!!! Congrats babe!!!!!" Summer House's Lindsay Hubbard wrote. Ciara Miller, added: "Congrats Madison"
Southern Hospitality cast members and fellow Charleston residents, TJ Dinch, Bradley Carter, Mia Alario, and Emmy Sharrett all wished Madison a big "Congratulations" as well. "Congratulations my friend," Bradley noted.
"I'll never get over this!!!" Southern Charm newbie, Ryan Albert, commented. "Couldn't be more excited for you, Brett, and Hudson! Love you!!"
How Madison LeCroy's second pregnancy has been different for her
It's been 12 years since Madison was last pregnant, and it's safe to say that things have been different this time around. "It's the total opposite of what I experienced at 22 years old," she told People. "I had the glowing skin, and I had all that, but this is the opposite. I'm exhausted, full-blown adult acne, and didn't lose any weight at the beginning, versus Hudson, I was starting off in a negative. So, I can just tell it's a 12-year difference."
This time around, Madison also has been listening to her body and "do whatever I feel like is best for us." "So if that's subs and maybe occasional fried sushi, I'm going to do it," she said.

Luckily, she has some idea of what she's getting herself into. Madison took to her Instagram account in August 2012, where she posted a photo of herself while pregnant with Hudson just two months before she gave birth to him. In the photo, Madison can be seen with her hand caressing her pregnancy bump in a red dress, with a blue pacifier in her mouth. "Haha!!" she wrote in the caption of the post.
Madison LeCroy reveals Hudson "gave her permission" to have baby number two
Hudson was well aware that his mom and stepdad were trying for a baby. Madison spoke to Us Weekly at Bravo Fan Fest in November 2024, where she revealed that Hudson gave her and Brett his blessing to expand their family. "Just recently, he gave me permission to have a sibling," she said.
"He said, 'Mom, you can have a baby now.' And I said, 'Oh, OK. Thank you. I've been waiting for you to say that."
