Madison LeCroy’s bundle of joy is “doing great.”
The Southern Charm cast member shared the update on Instagram Monday (July 8), just eight days after she and her husband, Brett Randle, welcomed their daughter, Teddi. The baby girl was delivered via C-section approximately six weeks before Madison’s due date.
Madison LeCroy says baby Teddi is "getting stronger every day"
“Update on baby Teddi: She’s still in the NICU (neonatal intensive care unit) and we’re still here with her, but she’s doing great,” Madison wrote in an Instagram Story. “Taking her bottles, gaining weight, and right on track for where she should be. Our little preemie angel is getting stronger every day… we can’t wait to bring her home.”
The post included a photo of her 12-year-old son, Hudson — whom she shares with her ex-husband — holding Teddi at the hospital. Madison was photographed sitting beside her kids while looking down at the infant.
She also posted a heartwarming video of her holding Hudson’s hand in the hospital.
“Little boys: the ultimate mood-lifters,” she captioned the July 7 clip.
Madison LeCroy takes us inside her labor journey: "She's a little early"
Madison gave birth to Teddi on June 28 but didn’t announce her arrival until July 3. She documented her labor journey in an Amazon Live video, shortly after her water broke while Brett was out of town.
“Well, it’s 3 a.m. … my water broke,” she said. “So we’re on the way to the hospital. We’re kind of freaking out, don’t have anything packed yet. We’re just trying to get there.”
The video then cut to Madison in a hospital bed after doctors confirmed she was 1 centimeter dilated.
“I still feel really good. Brett is en route, so I’m trying to just hold on until he gets here,” she said. “By the sound of it, we’ve got time. But yeah, we’re just getting excited and ready. She’s a little early.”
Madison LeCroy reflects on welcoming baby No. 2: "My life feels complete"
Madison told Us Weekly that Brett arrived later that day, hours before she underwent a C-section.
“We kind of prolonged the labor,” Madison told the outlet. “[Teddi is] only 5 pounds, but she’s breathing on her own and hasn’t needed any oxygen or anything like that. She’s kind of a little trooper. [Doctors] were shocked with how early she was that she was gonna be this independent. So I was like, ‘Oh, I wasn’t shocked at all.’”
Hours after announcing Teddi’s birth, Madison posted a photo of her holding the little one in the hospital.
“I didn’t know what I was missing until I held her,” she captioned the July 3 Story. “My life feels complete.”
Madison kept the sweet moments coming, as she later posted Hudson's first interaction with Teddi, as well as an adorable photo of Brett and her kids.
"I feel a family hair commercial in our future," she wrote in the latter post.
