Madi Prewett Shares Husband Grant Troutt’s ‘Radical Transformation’ After Having Sex Before Marriage tram

The Bachelor alum Madi Prewett has shared candid details about her husband Grant Troutt’s “radical transformation” after having before marriage as she opened up about her views on sexuality.

Prewett, 29, explained that she and Grant had differing experiences with sex and masturbation before tying the knot, which she revealed on the Monday June 23 episode of her “Stay True” podcast.

The reality TV alum admitted she was tempted with porn and masturbation before marriage, but justified giving in at times by telling herself it was OK because “at least” she wasn’t “having sex with her boyfriend.”

“That was where I fell. I struggled and I believed that lie. That lie led to a life of bondage,” Prewett divulged.

Meanwhile, Troutt had a different type of struggle when it came to those elements of sexuality given that he had already had sex before marriage, according to Prewett.

“Grant fell into the other category that kinda felt like, ‘Well I already had sex, what’s the big deal? It’s already a part of my story. It’s already a part of my life,’” Prewett said. “So that continued to be something he struggled with. He continued to have sex with people.”

During the podcast, Prewett also emphasized her belief that by choosing a “life of purity,” the past — and who someone used to be — doesn’t necessarily dictate their future.

Madi Prewett Details Husband Grant Troutt Radical Transformation:

“I am so thankful that when Grant had a radical transformation with Jesus, and when he started bringing accountability in his life and he chose to pursue a lifestyle of purity,” she continued. “He wasn’t perfect. Did he have moments of falling short? He did. But he chose to pursue purity and because of that we were able to then at the altar when we gave ourselves to each other and to God, body, soul and spirit, we had such a joy and such a peace because we knew that was something we had pursued individually and together.”

Prewett, who initially vied for Peter Weber’s heart on season 24 of The Bachelor, married Troutt in October 2022 after getting engaged after less than a year of dating.

“It’s like heaven knew I needed you. 10.29.22 ♡,” Prewett posted via Instagram at the time to mark their wedding day.

In May that year, The Bachelor Nation star publicly revealed her relationship with Troutt for the first time via an Instagram post.

“So now ya’ll know the realist G in town,” Prewett wrote. “Grant Michael Troutt, so full of passion and purpose and joy, I am proud I get to do life with someone who loves Jesus and people like you do. The past 5 months have been the best and wildest adventure. Full of highs and lows but there’s nobody else in the world I’d rather do life with.”

The couple went on to welcome their first child together in January 2025 and they took to social media to share the happy news of their daughter’s arrival.

“Hosanna Rose Troutt 🩷 1.20.25,” they wrote alongside a joint Instagram post that featured a carousel of photos of the newborn.
