Love Island’s Nas reveals truth behind split from Eva and how she reacted to his All Stars return ngocc

LOVE Island's Naz Majeed and Eva Zapico were the fairytale couple - until their shock split last year.

The pair, who found love on the first ever winter edition of the programme in January 2020, sadly split in March last year.

Nas, 28, has now revealed he is still in contact with ex Eva, 26, as he opened up about the reason behind their break-up.

Discussing why he and Eva decided to split, Nas told The Sun: "It just ran its course unfortunately.

"There was no bad blood, it was amicable which is really nice, especially spending four years with someone.

"We're still really good friends to this day, I've met up with her a couple of times since breaking up.

"We've just chatted like old friends, I think that's really important.

"I wouldn't want to throw away four years, especially after being put together under such surreal circumstances."

Nas went on to say: "I didn't explicitly tell her I was going in but I think she kind of read between the lines.

"The fact I was going to the gym on Christmas Eve and New Year's Day was a pretty big giveaway.

"So there were kind of enough hints for her and I think she got the message."

Although Nas has ruled out a romantic reunion with Eva, he said he'd be happy for her to crack on with other lads if she's also in the villa.

"I honestly wouldn't mind at all, I think as I mentioned it ended so amicably. I think we both came to a realisation that it wasn't for us and I've always been her biggest fan as well," he shared.

"From my point of view, I'd obviously be extremely supportive if she was in there as well, I'd always want the best for her.

When asked if they could rekindle something, Nas replied: "I don't think so, I think four years together, you kind of know. Especially towards the ends as well, you think you kind of know when it's not right for you."

Fast forward 10 months since his split and Nas is jumping back into the dating pool on national TV.

He said: "Love Island was so successful the first time round as you guys can imagine - a four year relationship off the back of the show.

"I'm hoping for more of the same, but hopefully this time it will be everlasting."

Nas and Eva met during the first ever winter edition of the programme in January 2020.

With Eva having been a Casa Amor bombshell, Nas opted to couple up with her and ditch his then-villa partner, Demi Jones.

It appeared to be the right decision with Nas and Eva remaining together for over four years.

The Sun exclusively revealed how the once-happy pair had suddenly called it quits in March of last year.

A source told us that it was Eva's decision to split from the bubbly presenter and he moved out of their shared property shortly after.

Nas is believed to have been single ever since but will be hoping that could all change as he gears up to find love with one of the single beauties in the villa.

Some of those that he could couple up with include series five stunner India Reynolds, series three icon Gabby Allen or controversial Liv Hawkins.
