A LOVE Island winner has dropped a big hint that he’s set for an All Stars comeback when the series returns in just a few weeks.
Maya Jama will be welcoming a slew of past contestants to South Africa for the second edition of the hit ITV2 dating show's starry spin-off and a whole host of names are currently in the frame.
And former winner Sammy Root, 22, could well be one of them after he dropped a hint he’s heading on.
Sammy, who won the show alongside Jess Harding in 2023, told The Sun: “What I can say is what happened last year is a life I still relive now.
“I miss it a lot, and right now I am very, very, very single. I am single Sammy.
“Don’t get me wrong I love a date and I love a little flirt, so with All Stars I’d never say never.
“My type is petite, brunette and pretty.”
Sammy continued: “I am single as it stands and not dating anyone, so a Christmas cuddle would be nice don’t get me wrong, but not a Christmas relationship, not just yet.
“Unless it comes out of the blue and I fall head over heels of course, but that would be very unusual for me.”
Towie lad Sammy has been linked to cast member Elma Pazar recently - a brunette beauty who certainly ticks the boxes he describes.
But despite things getting flirty between the pair, they’ve both shut down romance rumours.
The dapper chap was also linked to lash technician Livvy Jay since joining the series last month, but he’s firmly stated that he is in fact single.
Love Island winner Sammy Root reveals surprising new career away from TV a year after winning show
Sammy rose to fame on Love Island last year, after winning the show with Jess.
Despite being romantically involved, reality star Sammy broke up with his Love Island girlfriend Jess Harding, 23, just three months after winning the 2023 series.
Jess told Sammy their relationship was over by phone - before news of their split leaked online while she was partying in Ibiza with pals last year.
If he does end up in the All Stars villa for another shot at love, Sammy could be joined by the likes of Gemma Owen and Tyrique Hyde, both of which have been rumoured for a villa return.
On Gemma’s return, a source told The Sun: “Gemma had a great time on Love Island in 2022… it wasn’t something she ever imagined signing up to but the entire experience caught her by surprise.
“She was incredibly young when she first starred on the show at 19 but now she hopes as a 21-year-old her first experience will help her at a second chance of love.
“Michael is bracing himself for another series supporting his daughter date in front of the nation – but he was so proud of Gemma during her first villa stint, he knows she’s sensible and can be trusted.
“As well as finding a long term partner, Gemma has seen how lucrative All Stars can be for the Islanders taking part and as a savvy businesswoman, she definitely sees it as a money making opportunity.”
