Love Island Australia's Courtney Stubbs has opened up about her "heartbreaking" pregnancy struggles in a moving update with fans.
The 27-year-old reality star is expecting her second child, a baby boy, with partner and former Married At First Sight groom Jack Millar, 29.
Taking to Instagram, Courtney revealed she was hospitalised multiple times during her pregnancy after being diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum (HG), a severe form of pregnancy nausea.
Sharing a photo of her growing bump, Courtney said she was "nervous" to explain the reality behind the moment and the mental toll the pain has taken on her body.
"I wish I was here to say it has been all positivity, sunshine and rainbows but that isn't the case," she began in a lengthy caption.
"My first pregnancy was rough, so I thought I earnt a good second pregnancy… but my heart breaks as I live my reality of it being almost near impossible!"
In the raw and honest post, Courtney shared a string of photos documenting her tough pregnancy journey so far, including hospital visits, sickness and countless "exhausting" days.
"Mentally I've been running a marathon to get through each day," she wrote. "Bed ridden somedays, tired, nauseous and sick, I can't even take care of Penelope… "
Courtney and Jack are already parents to 17-month-old daughter Penelope.
Thankful for Jack's support, the mum explained she was diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum (HG) "which is a fancy way to say I vomit all day everyday."
"I've been in and out of hospital not being able to keep food down for days and feeling like I'm not able to cope," she went on.
"Unexplained pains leading to hospital visits, with no explanation and no further investigation, just hoping it won't come back…
Courtney, who is expecting a baby boy, reassured fans that their baby is "healthy and growing" but some days have been tougher than others.
"I think I just feel useless and gutted that this is so hard on my body, that my body goes through this type of trauma whilst trying to grow another baby," she admitted.
"It's so bitter tasting to not be experiencing pregnancy the way I feel like I'm "supposed to'," she said.
Courtney said she was sharing her reality so others, experiencing a similar journey, don't feel alone. As a reminder to "push through" and "welcome a beautiful baby at the end".
"Although this journey isn't picture perfect like we always dreamed… it's worth it," she concluded.
"Pregnancy is the hardest journey I've been through, but I can't wait to say I got through!"
Friends and fans rallied behind Courtney as she shared her journey with pregnant MAFS bride Domenica Calarco commenting: "You are strong, you can do this!!!!! Pregnancy is bloody hard!! So many women feel alone and you opening up like this will help immensely xxxx."
While one fan said: "I've experienced HG with both pregnancies and second was 100x worse! Take it day by day hun ❤️ All worth it at the end!"
Courtney and Jack announced their pregnancy in April 2025. Sharing the news to Instagram they wrote: "The final piece to our puzzle 🥺✨~ October 2025".
They celebrated the news with a sweet family video showing 17-month-old daughter, Penelope gently touching her mum's bump.
Jack, 29, and Courtney, 27, welcomed their first child, daughter Penelope, in November 2023 and have documented their journey as new parents on social media.
The duo have been together since July 2022, and first met at Jack's ex Domenica's Showpo fashion event.
Jack and Dom were matched on Season 9 of MAFS in 2022, while Courtney appeared on Season 3 of Love Island Australia a year earlier.
