Love Island couple in shock SPLIT just weeks after romantic dates ngocc

LOVE Island star Trey Norman has split from dancer Abbie Quinnen just weeks after enjoying a string of romantic dates.

The Sun revealed Trey, 24, had been enjoying getting to know Abbie, 27, following his villa romance with Ellie Jackson ending.

Trey previously told The Sun that he slid into her DMs after and they instantly hit it off and wanted to pursue something romantic.

But just over a month after the pair were spotted enjoying their first date, they have now decided to go their separate ways.

A source told The Sun: "Abbie and Trey were really enjoying getting to know each other and had a lot in common.

"They both really like each other and were attracted to one another but realised they were better off as friends.

"They decided to cool things off a few weeks ago after the initial chemistry fizzled out.

"They are both busy people and Trey's currently navigating post-Love Island fame, so is focusing on that.

"They are still friends and wish each other the best."

The Sun have reached out to Abbie and Trey's rep for comment.

Earlier this month, Trey was full of praise for Abbie and was excited about a potential future with the blonde beauty.

Trey exclusively told The Sun at Wes Nelson's single launch: "Me and Abbie have got to know each other a little bit.

"It's really chilled at the minute, I've been down here a few times and she's given me loads of advice and helped me with the process.

"We get along, she's a nice girl."

He continued: "We just got talking on the DMs on Instagram, I slid into the DMs first.

"It was after Love Island, I've seen what she's about and I thought it would be good to reach out and get talking to as many people as I can and she was one of the people that replied.

"We get on great.

"We've had a few dates so far...she's so down to earth."

A few weeks ago Abbie and Trey were spotted looking smitten on a park date.

A source told The Sun: "Trey didn’t find love in the villa, but as soon as he saw Abbie he couldn’t wait to ask her on a date.

"Things are moving quickly now and it’s finally gone past the ‘embryonic stage!’.

"They’re totally smitten - and they’ve decided to make it exclusive.

"They only have eyes for each other."

The Sun revealed Trey and Abbie have been texting non stop and he took her on their first date last month.

Trey and Abbie were snapped at dinner date and looked loved up as they left the venue holding hands.

They were spotted again as they attended their first red carpet together, a screening of Transformers One.

They were seen today out in London and put on a sweet display walking arm-in-arm.

Abbie has been single since splitting from her ex Strictly boyfriend AJ Pritchard.

She was left "devastated" when he dumped her “out of the blue” - days after discussing marriage.

Meanwhile Trey got together with Ellie during Casa Amor week on the most recent Love Island series.

Ellie later revealed the real reason for their split, telling The Sun he was more interested in fame than her.
