All through Love Is Blind Season 8, viewers have been getting frustrated over the fact that Lauren O’Brien didn’t defend herself or clap back harder at her fiancé David Bettenburg. Post their breakup, Lauren met Molly Rose at the cast meet-up party, and she spilled the tea on everything that had transpired between her and David. Molly, who was previously embroiled in a love triangle with Lauren and David, was left speechless upon hearing how David treated Lauren. She told Lauren that she had all her support, and the two even snickered about how David wasn’t much of a catch visually as he’d been trying to project all along.
Molly also filled Lauren in on some sketchy behavior that had gone down when David had gone clubbing with his friends a few nights ago. Later in the night, Molly had a sit down with David, and she wasted no time calling him out for how he treated Lauren. Molly delivered jab after jab, rendering him speechless, and also got him to make a perplexing revelation about his deal with his sister before he went on the show.
Molly Rose Apologized to Lauren O’Brien in the Pods
Lauren and Molly were both interested in David while dating in the pods, to the extent that the love triangle gradually got pretty messy. There were instances when Molly would come sauntering into the pods, gushing about her dates with David in front of Lauren. This used to upset Lauren immensely, and being privy to these details used to mess with her head. Eventually, Molly called things off with David due to his lack of clarity and reassurance.
What is infinitely endearing is that after her breakup with David, Molly was way more upset about discovering that Lauren was his other connection. She was ridden with guilt for having spoken at length about her dates in front of Lauren and, after her breakup, had a heart-to-heart conversation with her. Molly told Lauren that she had no idea that she was David’s other connection and profusely apologized for flaunting details of her dates in front of her.
Molly Rose Lifted Lauren O’Brien’s Spirits After Her Breakup

After the pod dates and engagements, Lauren and Molly met each other next at the cast reunion party. This was when Molly told Lauren that she had seen David at a pub a few nights ago, and out of respect for her, she refrained from conversing with him. However, Molly shared that a friend of hers had told her that night that there was a girl all over David. Molly meant no malice or ill intentions when sharing this information with Lauren but believed that she deserved to be informed of the same.
Thereafter, when Lauren spilled all the tea on how David had been ill-treating her after their engagement, Molly was left appalled. She lifted Lauren’s spirits and told her she wasn’t in the wrong and that David was being completely ridiculous for shaming Lauren for her dating history. Molly told Lauren that she was on her side and also reassured her that she wasn’t missing out on much by letting David go.
Molly Rose Gave David Bettenburg a Reality Check

Molly truly delivered on her promise to Lauren to be on her side. When she and David sat down to converse, instead of dwelling on their pod past — which is usually what contestants who were exes in the pods do — Molly hit the nail on the head by grilling David for how he treated Lauren. She called him out for not sticking up for Lauren against his friends and family and also educated him on how having casual sex when one is single isn’t a crime. After flooding him with questions that put him on the spot, Molly was able to coerce an interesting fact about David’s approach on the show.
While giving Molly justifications for his behavior, David let it spill that he had promised his sister that he wouldn’t get engaged on the show. This revelation gave viewers a lot of clarity on David’s senseless repetition and hurt feelings about Lauren’s dating history. Molly calling his behavior into question also prompted David to give Lauren a long overdue — albeit insincere — apology. Molly did what viewers wished Lauren would’ve done all along: to put David in his place. In the end, Molly emerged as the ultimate girl’s girl by sticking up for Lauren and taking a stand for her against David when Laren was unable to do so herself. The Love Is Blind Season 8 finale episodes will drop on Netflix on March 7, 2025. You can stream the episodes along with the show’s previous seasons exclusively on Netflix.
