Love Is Blind fans have been been raising their eyebrows ever since Season 8 star Ben Mezzenga and Monica Danús started hanging out and posting very flirtatious videos.
Danús and Mezzenga’s exes, Joey Leveille and Sara Carton, started dating after the season wrapped, according to Danús. In yet another surprising twist, Danús and Mezzenga have recently been fueling dating rumors. They have been cryptic with fans about their relationship status, but now Mezzenga is opening up about their situation in a new interview. So, are these two actually dating?

“No,” Mezzenga said emphatically on the Girl Please Podcast before adding, “As things happen, people have friendships out of these shows, and usually you want to keep the big group together as much as possible, but people tend to kind of gravitate to other people, and so I’d like to say Monica is probably one of my closest friends from the cast.”
When the hosts asked Mezzenga if he and Danús were trolling fans, he responded, “We’re not intentionally trolling, just having fun making content together and just letting the world take it as they want.”
Mezzenga brought up that there was a “love square” situation on the pods with him, Carton, Danús, and Leveille that wasn’t shown on TV. Danús actually broke up with him to be with Leveille.
The Minnesota real estate developer confirmed that he is single, but he’s not opposed to exploring something with Danús in the future. “Monica has been such a great friend through this whole thing, and obviously there is chemistry there with her and I…” he noted.
Mezzenga continued, “I’m not ruling anything out. It’s something where I know she’s a great person… But obviously, we have just grown this friendship so solidly I don’t know if I see it going anywhere further, at least in the near future. It’s one of those things where it would have to run its course for a while before it would come back being romantically, but for right now we’re just enjoying each other’s company.”
Leveille and Carton have yet to confirm their relationship publicly, but Mezzenga did say that Leveille texted him about dating Carton after the news went viral.
