‘Love Is Blind’ Season 8 Was All About Being a Girl’s Girl, and I’m Here for It! liennhi

Most of the men on Love Is Blind Season 8 failed the vibe check. However, the most endearing quality about this season was the dynamic between the women. The camaraderie and loyalty were off the charts. The women didn’t hesitate to take a stand for the gals when the men were lying through their teeth. In fact, when the men started planting seedlings to make the girls turn on each other, the women wasted no time to hash things out to uncover the facts.

They had mature conversations about the situation and cornered the men into fessing the truth. They’ve even acted as each other’s support system throughout the course of being played by the men on the show. Moreover, the female contestants on Love Is Blind were a class above the men in terms of emotional maturity, seamless communication, and socio-political views. They did the best they could with the hefty serving of manchilds they were offered to date this season.

The Women Were Gracious Amid the Love Triangles

The female friendships on Love Is Blind Season 8 was one for the books, I’ll tell you that. Love triangles on the show typically tend to get messy, with the women throwing arms when they fear they’re going to lose their man to another contestant. Much like Jessica Batten McGrath and Amber Pike from Love Is Blind Season 1 or Sarah Ann and Laura Dadisman from Love Is Blind Season 6, things got incredibly ugly due to their interest in the same man. However, this season, when the women suspected that the person they were dating probably had a better connection with someone else, they respectfully bowed out and spoke highly of their opponent.

Molly Rose took it one step further and called out her former connectionDavid Bettenburg, for ill-treating his then-fianceé, Lauren O’BrienBrittany Dodson was all praise for Virginia Miller during her breakup with Devin Buckley and was even rooting for them to make it to the end. Even a problematic contestant like Madison Errichiello didn’t gatekeep anything about her dynamic with Mason Horacek so that Meg Fink could make an informed decision.

While all the women were in each other’s corner, Fink did stand out like a sore thumb as she chose to side with Horacek and Alex Brown during the Love Is Blind reunion. I felt that she was serving major pick-me energy while all the other women were rooting for each other and taking a stand when the men were lying through their teeth. It was incredibly unfortunate to see Fink separate herself from the girls just to humor her newfound friendship with Horacek.

During the reunion, it was revealed that Joey Leveille had told his then-fianceé Monica Danús that Errichiello was coming onto him. Instead of picking a fight and going ballistic over such serious claims like Hannah Jiles from Love Is Blind Season 7, Danús confronted Errichiello and had an honest conversation with her. They uncovered Leveille was lying about the whole thing and cornered him into admitting his mistake. While usually it’s quite easy for the male contestants to spin the narrative and get the women to turn on each other, on Love Is Blind Season 8, the female power reigned too supreme for it even to be considered a possibility.

The Dynamic Between the Women Was the Highlight of ‘Love Is Blind’ Season 8

The women on Love Is Blind Season 8 took “We listen, and we don’t judge” to a whole different level. They were each other’s shoulder to cry on and kept each other in the loop during their relationships with the male contestants. Rose stood up for O’Brien at the cast reunion party, and the latter took a stand for Sara Carton during the reunion when Ben Mezzenga was cooking up a bunch of lies. A majority of the men on Love Is Blind were incredibly disappointing with their regressive views, dishonest revelations, and lack of emotional maturity.

The women were in a different league in all these aspects, which is probably one of the reasons why the female contestants got along so well. On a show meant to be a platform to find romantic love, who would’ve thought that the dynamic between the female contestants would make it a worthy watch? All these aspects are proof enough as to why Love Is Blind Season 8 was all about the girls, and I’m totally here for it!
