Love Is Blind's Mason Horacek and Meg Fink are giving their romance another go.

On season 8 of hit Netflix dating series, fans learned Mason and Meg started dating outside the pods following his breakup with fellow participant Madison Errichiello. However, at the reunion, the pair confirmed things ultimately didn't work out for them, despite several attempts at a romance.

Now, Meg confirms to PEOPLE in an exclusive statement that they have rekindled their love once again.

“After looking for happiness a few times, we found it in each other,” the oncology nurse says. “I’m so thankful for Mason and the journey that brought us here. Can’t wait to share the future.”

During a joint appearance on the Dear Shandy podcast on April 3, Mason reflected on how they’ve supported each other through their reality TV journey, saying, “We’ve been there … this entire year for each other, just [through] thick and thin. I’ve never really had that in a partner and it’s been a breath of fresh air, especially for something this crazy and something that has a lot of trauma. [We had] a trauma bond together.”

As for their short time apart, Meg noted that she only went on a single date — who unexpectedly had a tie to one of their Love Is Blind costars.

“Truthfully, I only went on one date this past year and it was after we broke up the first time,” she said. “I’m like, ‘Alright, I need to start moving on. I need to go on Hinge.’ The first Hinge date I go on was actually the guy who was a part of  Lauren [O'Brien]’s story line the entire show.”

As fans may recall, Lauren didn’t find her happily ever after on the reality show after she revealed to David "Dave" Bettenberg that she had been sleeping with another man before the show — who coincidentally Dave's inner circle knew. With pressure from his family and friends in his ear, Dave then questioned Lauren’s intentions leading to their eventual split before wedding day.

“When I tell you I did not go on a date again after that because I truly felt if I dated someone now it’s gonna be someone’s brother [or] someone’s ex.” she shared, adding, “I was like, ‘I’m over it.’ I left [the date] and I called Mason.”

Meg also opened up about what they enjoy most about their relationship, saying, “Something we recently talked about was the fact that I am a little bit more Type B [and] always in the clouds, more last minute with things, day-dreamy and he’s a lot more grounded, [He’s] like, ‘Let’s focus on what we need to do and then we can daydream.’”

“One of my really good friends said, ‘When you’re someone who’s more Type B and go-with-the-flow, you’re the kite and you need to find someone who’s a stake in the ground that will let you blow with the wind,’” she continued. “I feel like that’s what I have found in this relationship, which has been really nice.”

Before his third reunion with Meg, Mason told PEOPLE that "she was my girlfriend at two points within the last year" during an interview in March.

"Right now, we're just best friends, so we tried dating," he said. "It's all good. She's still in my life, regardless if she's my significant other or just best friend. I don't want to lose her."

The cinematographer — who was initially dumped in the pods by Meg after she discovered he had been saying the same things to her and Madison — noted that he and Meg "had some tough conversations [while] we were dating, saying we both feel like something's missing here."

As a result, he said they "took time away from each other" and eventually "tried it again," but they "ended up in the same spot and decided that we value each other's friendship too much to lose it."

"So we're just going to ride it out and see where we're at in that aspect," he added.

Mason also said he had no regrets about his decisions on the show. "Looking back at everything, I feel like I got a pretty good situation out of everything because I've got Meg in my life," he said at the time. "If we would've made it to the weddings, there was more of a risk that we could have ran into some more hard times and more pressure ... just seeing what the others experienced and hearing what they went through. There was a lot of pressure just leading up to that point."

"So I think we had a fair shake at being friends and exploring our relationship outside of that realm ... as opposed to making it that far and trying to make a marriage work," he added. "So I don't think I have many regrets."

Love Is Blind season 8 can be streamed in full on Netflix.
