Love Is Blind always brings chaos, tears and even a cheating scandal or two, no matter what country it’s set in. Love Is Blind Germany is no different, and this season, three of the contestants have been faced with a wild love triangle. If you aren’t keeping up with Love Is Blind Germany, let me fill you in on what might be the messiest season of the show to ever air.

All the drama kicked off in the most recent batch of episodes which were released on 10th January. Hanni and Ilias, who are engaged to Daniel and Alina respectively, brought chaos onto the show when they snuck off for a private chat during a party for all the engaged couples.

Ilias and Hanni had a bond back in the pods, but it was clear Hanni wasn’t as interested in him as Ilias was in her. Nonetheless, he pulled her for a talk, claiming he was “curious” about her after they both got engaged to other people (rather than admitting he had feelings for her). The exchange made Alina very uncomfortable, and she opened up to Jen about it.

“I definitely won’t say yes at the altar if I feel like the door is still open,” she said.

After the tense atmosphere at the party, Alina and Ilias had a chat where she spoke to him about his feelings for Hanni. Hanni seemed very committed to her engagement with Daniel, but it wasn’t enough to convince Alina.

While she was trying on her wedding dress, Hanni seemed to flip from uncertain to certain back to uncertain again. I really like her and Daniel, but I’m not convinced any of the couples are going to get married this season!

Hanni had a pretty funny response to the love triangle, as one viewer asked her on Instagram: “Who do you think is more attractive, Daniel or Ilias?” She simply replied, “good.”

If you are watching Love Is Blind Germany, you might have closed your eyes out of pure cringe when Daniel and Hanni first met. She actually addressed what she thought about this meeting in a video on her Instagram, which I have translated into English below:

In the video, she says: “Now we come to a very spicy question that is probably of great interest. First of all, I have to say that we were all super excited, especially Daniel and I. Everyone reacts differently in such situations. I wouldn’t have kissed him, but I’m not the kind of person who has to give up so early. For me, it doesn’t show that it’s him or not depending on how the person kisses, but rather I have to see the person, smell the person, and see the behaviour.

“Yes, I like to wait to do something like that, but of course, you have a bond with the person and you feel attracted to that person. But you can also see in some videos that I turn my head away a bit. I also know that you all are figuring this out, you little smart guys, and making videos about it. Yes, I can understand Daniel. I’m just a different kind of person. Everyone deals with it differently. But men also show their affection through things like that.”
