Love Hotel is officially closed for the season.
On Sunday, June 15, season 1 of the Bravo dating series came to an end, and Shannon Beador, Luann de Lesseps, Gizelle Bryant and Ashley Darby all made a choice about their romantic futures.
The finale begins with Shannon and Earl Thompson discussing his blow-up the previous episode, which ended when he got upset that Shannon went out to dinner with her fellow Housewives instead of comforting him and asking about his property, which was in the path of a hurricane. They decide to "table" the argument and continue to spend time with one another.
The ladies then go on their final dates with their suitors.
Gizelle and Ashley choose to split their dates. Gizelle goes on a dinner date with Theo and a spa excursion with Phil Westbrooks, which ends with a kiss — a first for Gizelle on the show.
Ashely enjoys a romantic yacht trip with Wale Alesh and spends the morning having a seaside brunch with Ralph Mastrangelo, while Shannon and Earl go on a horseback ride on the beach and have a romantic meal at the presidential suite.
Luann and James Quine have a dinner at the hotel restaurant and start to work out the logistics of seeing one another long-distance. Their night ends in Luann's hotel room with James giving her a foot massage before he draws the curtains from the camera.
The ladies then meet with each man one-on-one to share their final decision.
Luann decides to leave the Love Hotel with James. "What I love about James is he's not controlling, like the other men in my life," she said. "James is smart enough to know, if you love something, set it free."
At the end of the episode, it's revealed that they are both still seeing one another. They're "very much in love" and "make time for each other in spite of the distance."
Gizelle makes her decision between Theo and Phil.
"We're in different moments of our life," Gizelle told Phil. "You're very much on chill mode and I'm still hustling and bustling and grinding and doing Gizelle."
Gizelle ultimately chooses Theo. Although Gizelle said she thought Theo "would come into my world and fill it up," it was revealed at the end of the episode that their plans to reunite in New York City for Halloween never came through. Gizelle has, however, been speaking with Phil and plans to visit him in Los Angeles.
Despite their many ups and downs on their journey to love, Shannon decided to check out of the Love Hotel with Earl.
"I don't know where you and I go from here, but I will tell you that I do believe that some how, some way, you and I are going to be in each other's lives. Your my person," she told Earl.
Shannon and Earl spent time after the Love Hotel visiting one another in their hometowns, but Shannon called it quits after "a couple of months." She's currently still single.
Ashley had a difficult time all season narrowing down her selection to one person.
But Ashley finally delivered the news that she plans to check out with Ralph. Wale came prepared and gave Ashley a "final note" that he wrote, wishing her all the best in her future. "I'm at peace with our answer," he told her.
In the end, Ashely and Ralph did not work out and their relationship "fizzled" outside of the Love Hotel. However, she and Wale still text each other.
One week prior to the finale, Beador teased that one of her costars remains in a relationship with their suitor from the series during an appearance on the Ay Por Favor podcast.
“I will say that there is one of the ladies of the four that is still dating someone,” she said on the June 5 episode. She played coy about which one of her castmates she meant, though.
Beador also reflected on her own decision to appear on the Bravo series. She thought the timing, one year after her September 2023 arrest, signified a fresh start.
“I was asked to go a couple months before, and I think I replaced somebody. So I wasn't in the initial cast. But I got a DUI and it was a really difficult year for me, And so I made a vow to focus on myself and I didn't date. And I'm a relationship girl,” she said. "I'm usually not single and not a big dater. And so I thought this is kind of perfect timing. It's been a year. I've been single for a year and let me try."
The reality star started filming the series by thinking she was “gonna go and have fun,” adding, “I really didn't expect to have, you know, a connection with anyone."
She doesn't regret her time on the show. “It's insane, the friendships that I have maintained since the show,” she said. “The guys are really tight ... I see quite a few of them. And the girls, especially, we have this bond. We called it a little bit of a social experiment because we didn't really know what we were walking into, being the first season."
