Lorraine on Loose Women

Loose Women welcomed TV host Lorraine Kelly to their studio today where she denied "fillers" allegations after her appearance had slightly changed during filming on Thursday (March 6).

During Thursday's instalment, Charlene White, Linda Robson, Judi Love and Nadia Sawalha joined forces to tackle the latest taboo topics and share important stories of their own.

Lorraine appeared on the show to discuss life as a grandmother and her debut novel, The Island Swimmer. In August last year, Lorraine announced the birth of her granddaughter after her daughter Rosie Kelly-Smith and her partner Steve White shared the arrival of their first child.

At the time, Lorraine took to her own Instagram and wrote: "I have been BURSTING to share this wonderful news with you! Baby Billie is an angel and I'm so proud of [Rosie] and [Steve] who will be the best parents. I'm delighted to be Granny Smith and can't wait to go on adventures."

Before the panel delved into Lorraine's book announcement, Charlene was quick to address the mark on Lorraine's face. The TV present laughed before she said: "I woke up with the biggest shiner of a black eye".

Linda Robson pointed out: "You've got a bit of a shiner haven't you" to which Lorraine confirmed: "I have! I will explain, yesterday, you know as women we try to do too many things at once and fast?

"I had a massive bag of washing, a washing basket, I couldn't see and was going from the kitchen to the living room, where there's a wee step, and my slippers are too big, I fell over and then I fell onto a rhino!"

As the panel laughed at her story, Lorraine shared that although makeup did a great jo at covering her black eye, fans were still quick to acknowledge the new look.

Lorraine pretended to be offended as she shared that one viewer had contacted Lorraine bosses and asked if she'd had filler in her face, which she very quickly denied.

In the aftermath, Lorraine went onto speak about her debut novel and teased that there will be a second. She shared that she had always wanted to write and "felt so lucky" to have the chance, and: "I really did i put my heart and soul into it".

She acknowledged that while the first book has a twist in, the second one will "shock" readers. Acknowledging her long career in television, Lorraine admitted it's the "best job in the world", and with writing the book she's "enjoyed every second of it".

Loose Women airs on weekdays from 12:30pm on ITV1 and is available to stream on ITVX.
