Tuesday's instalment of Loose Women featured panellist Coleen Nolan having a Strictly Come Dancing moment, and This Morning's Ben Shephard had some thoughts on it.
Loose Women's Charlene White stuggled to get the studio audience under control as she previewed Tuesday's (May 14) show. The ITV star was broadcasting live to the This Morning studio at the time to tell Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley what viewers could expect.
The ITV News presenter teased a Strictly Come Dancing moment, as she told how pro dancer Kai Widdrington had surprised Coleen Nolan earlier in the day with a routine
"So Coleen's doing some dancing?" Ben enquired, but Charlene was unable to her him over audience cheers. She waved her hands trying to calm them down.
However, when that failed, she was forced to loudly shush them by putting her finger to her lips. "Shush, Ben's talking," she exclaimed.
The studio audience then gave Ben the opportunity to have a cheeky dig at Coleen. "I've danced with Coleen in the past and it doesn’t always go that well, does it Coleen?" he laughed. For her part, Coleen feigned shock - dropping her jaw and clapping back: "That's because you were rubbish."
Despite Ben's ribbing Coleen proved quite fleet footed when she took to the floor to dance the Cha Cha Cha with Kai at the end of the show.
The ITV presenter said that in all her years on the chat show, this was one of her favourite tasks, and admitted the taster session has got her eagerly longing to sign up.
“Honesty I am not exaggerating if I never get to do Strictly ever, which I would love to do, but if I never get to do it, that was my moment. Already, that was the most, already, best thing I have done in 24 years.”
Co-star Janet Street Porter gushed and was heard saying, “Oh wow Col”. As The Nolans singer continued: “Honestly I am trembling, you don’t understand.”
The star is so desperarte to appear on the glitzy Saturday night show that she even offered to do it for free.
“Don’t tell them I would do it for nothing, but I would,” the broadcaster revealed.
She appeared nervous about the performance, saying: “We didn’t have very long to rehearse, we’ve literally rehearsed all morning.”
However she had nothing to worry about as she wowed with her skills as she sashayed around the set with Kai.
This Morning is on ITV weekdays at 10am. Loose Women is on ITV weekdays at 12.30pm.
