After fronting a breakfast show, ITV has given her yet another huge opportunity.
ONE OF the stars of Loose Women has landed a brand new solo TV series away from the panel.
In a major ITV daytime schedule shakeup, the TV personality will front her own solo slot.
Katie Piper, 41, has made many high-profile TV appearances across the years in shows like Strictly Come Dancing and Songs of Praise.
She first joined the Loose Women panel back in July of 2021 and has become a mainstay face ever since.
In 2022 she was also given her own breakfast show on the weekends called Katie Piper's Breakfast Show.
Now the star has become a firm face across the commercial network as she has landed her own show.
ITV has given the green light for 22 editions of Katie Piper’s Weekend Escape.
Filming of the show will take place at an exclusive retreat located in the British countryside.
The programme will aim to celebrate the very best of the UK's natural beauty as it has a special focus on health and wellbeing.
Each week the presenter and a special star guest will be introduced to fun activities and they will sample new pamper treatments.
The show will also feature a nutritionist and a health-food expert who will be on hand.
Together, they will showcase a range of beneficial drinks and food throughout each show.
The programme will be produced by independent production company Phoenix Television.
Katie Piper couldn't help but gush over the new format as she gets to work on her brand new show.
She explained: "Weekend Escape is a fantastic new format that I can’t wait to start filming.
"It combines so much of what I love - health, wellbeing and chatting to interesting people, exploring everything from nutrition to celebrity interviews all in the heart of the British countryside."
On top of the lifestyle focus, the show will also feature powerful human-interest stories.
A forthcoming segment called ‘Katie’s Haircut Hero’ will shine a light on someone who has endured great adversity in their life.
It will also give the spotlight to people who have done something extraordinary for either an individual or their community.
The ‘hero’ will be given a special treat in the form of a session with celebrity hairdresser Michael Douglas.
He's previously appeared on shows such as The One Show, This Morning and Good Morning Britain and he will be on a mission to help people feel confident about themselves.
