The star expressed her guilt over not being well-informed with her husband's Catholic faith
Loose Women's Kelly Brook appeared on the panel as she opened up about her "ignorance" surrounding her husband's faith.
During Tuesday's (22nd April) instalment, Charlene White was head of the panel as she was joined by Kelly Brook, Janet Street Porter and Brenda Edwards.
Charlene kicked off the ITV daytime show by discussing the death of Pope Francis who died at 88-years-old on the 21st April, over Easter weekend.
Kelly shared her own story about her husband, Jeremy Parisi, being Italian and from a Catholic family.
She said: "On Friday he gets a message from his mother, 'just to remind you, you're not supposed to eat meat today'. At which point the guilt that came over his face because he'd already had a fry-up, had already been served.
"Me being non-Catholic, none the wiser. I just thought that's so interesting. That's why I've always been kind of against a lot of religions because of the guilt that goes with divorce and you know, all sorts of different things."
Janet then interjected and said: "Even I didn't eat meat on Friday. I banned meat in my home. We did not have a fry-up on Friday, we absolutely did not!"
Kelly replied: "This is my ignorance, because obviously I'm married to someone that's Catholic. To be honest, we were in a hotel and he did order for himself... But, on Monday he came into the bedroom and said 'Oh, the Pope's died'.
"He called the family, everyone, his grandma got a letter from the Pope. It's really, really important for him and his family, they're all Catholic. They go to church all the time. I felt guilty that he's moved to the UK and for the past ten years I've never taken him to church!"
Kelly and Jeremy married in July 2022 after the couple started dating in 2015. They met after Kelly slid into his Instagram DMs, with Jeremy previously admitting he thought he was being catfished when he learned of Kelly's fame.
In a three-part mini-series for This Morning, Kelly and Jeremy sampled rural Italian life in Kelly and Jeremy: La Vita Italiana, as they embarked on living in rural Italy, where Jeremy’s family have lived and farmed for generations.
The show's premise was centred around them deciding whether or not a move to the Italian countryside would be a good move for them as they returned to Arpino - Jeremy’s hometown and the stunning location of their 2022 wedding - to immerse themselves in his family business.
Loose Women airs on weekdays at 12:30pm on ITV1 and is available to stream on ITVX.
