Loose Women star Nadia Sawalha was left in tears as she shared details of a heartbreaking miscarriage she suffered while appearing on the podcast of the ITV show

Loose Women star Nadia Sawalha was moved to tears as she opened up about the profound pain of family loss she experienced in her younger days.

The television presenter reminisced over the grief she suffered caused by her miscarriages during a wellness coach session.

Speaking on the Loose Women podcast with fellow panellist Myleene Klass, an emotional Nadia reflected on past "trauma" by saying: "I've had lots of traumatic things happen in my life, like so many people have, but I feel very much healed in all of them."

Narrating her poignant journey, Nadia became tearful as she discussed her past pregnancies. She shared: "One of which is the miscarriages that I had, and I've always said, and I know this isn't the same for everyone that's had a miscarriage but when Kiki was born, my youngest sorry (pauses as she becomes emotional)."

The 60-year-old expressed how the arrival of her daughter, Kiki, brought closure to the heartache of her losses, saying: "When my youngest was born, I felt instantly healed of my miscarriages, it's not the same for all people."

She concluded with a surprising note of peace: "And it was so strange it felt to me like just the same soul had been trying to come through and then Kiki came through, so I never get upset when I talk about my miscarriages, I feel very healed."

She went on to express how "very blessed" she feels to have a husband like Mark Adderley, who has been "open and supportive" throughout her journey. The couple's marriage is approaching its 23-year milestone, and together they share two daughters, Maddy and Kiki.

Loose Women star Nadia has carved out a significant presence in broadcasting over the years.

Her early forays into acting saw some success, but it was in 1997 that she made a name for herself, securing the role of Annie Palmer on EastEnders.

She portrayed the character until 1999 when Annie Palmer's storyline took her off to New Zealand.

Nadia's career trajectory continued its ascent shortly thereafter as she became one of the original panellists on Loose Women, appearing on the very first episode of the now-iconic ITV show alongside Kaye Adams, Jane Moore, and Karren Brady.

More than 25 years since Loose Women debuted, Nadia remains a staple of the programme, regularly contributing alongside her co-panellists.

While she may be most recognised for her work on Loose Women, Nadia has diversified her broadcasting experience with guest presenting stints on shows such as The One Show and Lorraine.

In 2015, she also had a stint in the Celebrity Big Brother house, becoming the fourth housemate to be evicted that season.
