A Loose Women presenter is urging bosses on the ITV show to let her team up with iconic Gloria Hunniford on the programme's new podcast, calling the veteran presenter a "queen"

Loose Women star Christine Lampard has revealed she is begging show bosses to pair her with Gloria Hunniford for the programme's podcast.

The podcast sees two of the panellists team up to discuss various personal and life issues twice a week. Christine, 46, described her fellow Northern Irish celebrity Gloria Hunniford as a "queen" and wants Loose Women chiefs to put the pair of them on the same podcast where two of the Loose Women have an unscripted chat.

Speaking to the Sun's Fabulous, Christine said: "I mentioned to one of the producers that I'd love to talk to Gloria about my memories of her growing up and the first time I met her.

"I was her runner on Children In Need all those years ago. I can still remember walking into BBC Northern Ireland and seeing her. She's a proper queen and she remembers everything, so I'd love that."

Christine has been a presenter on Loose Women since 2016. She has also worked on Lorraine, This Morning and Dancing on Ice.

Gloria Hunniford is still going strong at the age of 85. She has starred on British TV screens since the 1970s.

The TV legend once opened up about how she shed two-stone after cutting out two particular things from her diet.

Gloria, who turned 85 last month, previously shared how she eliminated potatoes and sugar from her eating routine after receiving a serous health warning from her doctor,

The presenter was alerted to the risk of developing diabetes unless she committed to a healthier diet. A medical check-up revealed she had pre-diabetes, a condition marked by elevated blood sugar levels.

Meanwhile, Christine addressed her relationship with husband Frank Lampard after the ex-footballer became Coventry City manager last November.

Speaking to fellow Loose Women star Nadia Sawalha, she said: "At the minute he's up in Coventry, which he's really loving, and it's fine. You're still in the country, so I think at least you can get in the car, that was always my thing. Even if you're up in Newcastle at least I can get in the car and I'll drive (there).

"We're still absolute best mates, like he'll be the first person I'll pick the phone up to and sort anything out with. And the biggest thing for me, is that he makes me laugh, that is such a powerful thing to me. I have to be able to have a giggle."

Christine has two children with ex-Chelsea and England star Frank, also 46. He also has two daughters from his first marriage.

Frank is set to lead Coventry City into the Championship play-offs after they finished fifth in the regular season. A place in the Premier League is up for grabs.
