Loose Women panellist Christine Lampard has opened up about her relationship with Sky Blues boss Frank Lampard after he made the move to the club last November

Loose Women star Christine Lampard has shared an insight into her relationship with Frank Lampard after the former England international took over as Coventry boss last November.

Chatting with fellow Loose Women star, Nadia Sawalha, Christine shared how she has adapted to spending time away from Frank during his illustrious career: "At the minute he's up in Coventry, which he's really loving, and it's fine. You're still in the country, so I think at least you can get in the car, that was always my thing. Even if you're up in Newcastle at least I can get in the car and I'll drive (there)."

Delving deeper into their relationship, Christine shared how their bond is as strong as ever as she highlighted one of the former Chelsea star's most important qualities: "We're still absolute best mates, like he'll be the first person I'll pick the phone up to and sort anything out with. And the biggest thing for me, is that he makes me laugh, that is such a powerful thing to me. I have to be able to have a giggle."

After the couple began dating in 2009, Frank and Christine would walk down the aisle together six years later before going on to have their first child together back in 2018, and their second three years later.

Over the course of their marriage, Christine saw Frank establish himself as a footballing legend during his stints at the likes of Chelsea, Man City and New York City. But, since retirement, the 46-year-old has gone on to forge a career in management, where his latest move has seen him take the Sky Blues to fifth in the Championship table after the side were left languishing in 17th when he took over the reins.

Christine has become a regular face on our screens down the years having had a three-year stint co-hosting the One Show, before later going on to co-host Dancing on Ice and even stood in for Lorraine Kelly on her daily ITV show. However, she is perhaps most well-known for appearing on the Loose Women panel after making her first appearance nearly 10 years ago.
