Loose Women's Brenda Edwards questioned "what are you saying" as the panel got into a heated discussion over the alleged "affair" video that went viral.

During Monday's (21st July) instalment, Chantel White led the panel as she was joined by Katie Piper, Janet Street-Porter and Brenda Edwards in the studio.

It didn't take long for the topic of discussion to focus on the video that went viral when the CEO of Astronomer, Andy Byron, was caught having an alleged "affair" with the company’s head of human resources.

The pair were spotted cuddling up together during the "kiss cam", and quickly ducked and dived out of sight once they noticed the camera was on them.

Since then, Andy has resigned from his position at the company, with Astronomer releasing the following statement:

"Andy Byron has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted. The Board will begin a search for our next Chief Executive as Cofounder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy continues to serve as interim CEO."

They added: "Before this week, we were known as a pioneer in the DataOps space, helping data teams power everything from modern analytics to production AI.

"Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met."

As the panel shared their thoughts, Brenda expressed: "My man bought it on himself. I'm sorry, he bought that on... Look, I met my ex-husband in work, and I think a lot of people meet their partners in work.

"I'm not disputing that, what I'm saying is he bought it on himself because he knew he was in a [public] place."

As Chantel corrected Brenda to say "allegedly", she responded: "What are you saying?... He was swaying to the Coldplay music and they both ducked. Why are you ducking?"

Katie Piper then interjected: "This is the problem, this is the court of public opinion. We don't know what goes on behind closed doors. We don't know what the situation was in their marriages. We don't know anything and we're all making assumptions."

Janet Street-Porter then added: "As someone who's had affairs, I would not put that judgement... It could be entirely innocent" to which Brenda jokingly scoffed as the audience laughed at the heated discussion.

Loose Women airs on weekdays from 12:30pm on ITV1 and is available to stream on ITVX.
