Lindsay Hubbard reacted to speculation that she and Paige DeSorbo will get their own Summer House spinoff. Meanwhile, Paige addressed her exit from the show, and admitted she questioned if she would “regret” it.
Earlier this month, Paige revealed that she chose to leave Summer House. Around the same time, it’s been speculated that Lindsay, who recently gave birth, will film less in the upcoming season. Fans also speculate that Paige and Lindsay will film a spinoff in Manhattan.
“I think the fans are onto something,” said Lindsay of the speculation, in an interview with Us Weekly, as she winked at the camera. “Paige leaving, it’s going to be sad, I think for the show, and I think for Bravo.”
“I don’t think she’s gonna be gone forever. I don’t think, you know, we can fully let her go,” she said, before joking, “We’re gonna all get our lassos out and be like, ‘Get back here!’”
But the star is confident that Paige knows what she’s doing.
“She’s doing really well, and she has so many projects to focus on,” said Lindsay. “Whenever anyone feels like they need time for themselves or a break or, you know, to move on to the next chapter of their lives, you gotta let them go … I’m just excited to see what that next chapter is for her. She has a lot going on. She just launched Daphne [loungewear].”
Lindsay addressed how she plans to return to Summer House next season in some capacity.
“I’m around, right? I think that that’s what, like, normal people do in New York City is we have kids, and we still go to the Hamptons, but it just looks a little different,” said the star. “I’m not gonna be sleeping at the summer house every single weekend. But I am probably gonna visit and pop by and I’ll be in the Hamptons.”
“This is Gemma’s first summer. And obviously, I love summer. I’m a summer baby,” she added. “Summer House can’t get rid of me.”
Meanwhile, on her Giggly Squad podcast, Paige addressed her exit from the show.
“[It’s] the end of a beautiful era,” said Hannah Berner, her podcast co-host and former Summer House costar.
“I feel, you know, like when you make like a drastic switch in your life and you’re like … but how am I gonna feel when I do it?” said Paige. “What if I regret it? I was like dealing with that … like [what if] I want to go back.”
“[But] I really feel so aligned,” she went on. “The fact that I’m starting my summer and no one’s gonna say to me, ‘What story would you like to tell this summer?’ … Like what do people do in the summer? I’m so excited. I’m going to sleep so much.”
Hannah noted that Paige can always return. Paige then called it “such a weird job.”
