Lindsay Hubbard Addresses "Drama" With Carl Radke and Admits There's "Residual Feelings" Amid Summer House Season 9 Filming, Plus She Gushes Over Supportive Boyfriend Turner Kufe

Lindsay Hubbard claims filming on Summer House season nine has been “drastically different” than season eight.

Following the latest season of the Bravo reality series, which saw her then-fiancé, Carl Radke, 39, calling off their November 2023 wedding, Lindsay, 38, opened up about how it’s been filming with her ex while pregnant as she also spoke of her new boyfriend, Turner Kufe, and her thoughts on their baby girl.

“Obviously, in most normal situations — if you could call any of it normal — you break up and you won’t go then live in a house on the weekends with your ex-fiancé,” Lindsay told Us Weekly on August 25. “But here we are, you know, modern age, modern people.”

Although they endured a very messy split just one year ago, Lindsay said filming with Carl has been “fine” for the most part.

“There’s a little drama because you don’t just act like everything is fine and nothing happened,” she explained. “There are past and residual feelings that come up that you need to address … but for the most part, I think it’s been OK.”

“I wish I could say it was [awkward]. But listen, I’ve known him for 100 million years,” Lindsay continued. “We’ve done the show together, we’ve been on every season together. There was a life that we had before we were romantic, and I don’t know if we’ll ever get back to a friendship, truthfully. I can’t tell you that at this point, but I’m not uncomfortable around him.”

As Summer House fans will recall, Carl admitted at the season eight reunion that he hadn’t “kissed anybody” since Lindsay as she confirmed she was dating someone.

The following month, she confirmed her pregnancy. And speaking of that, Lindsay said her baby bump has reminded her throughout filming that she’s “in a very different life than [she] was in that relationship” with Carl.

“It’s a great reminder every day that I’m exactly where I need to be,” Lindsay stated. “And I’m so very focused on my current, present, and future that when I look at him, it’s just this huge reminder of my past and I leave my past behind.”

While she acknowledged that Carl might be uncomfortable with where she is in her life, she made it clear she was unconcerned with his feelings, saying, “It’s not my issue.”

Lindsay then said that when it comes to the new season, viewers will not be “bored.”

“I think viewers are going to be interested in all these different dynamics going on,” she teased.

During another interview with PEOPLE, Lindsay gushed over her relationship with Turner, saying that he’s been a supportive boyfriend since they learned they were expecting.

“He’s been incredible. I mean he’s so obsessed with our child,” she gushed. “He’s like, I just can’t wait to meet her. I’m so excited to meet her. He really is so incredible, like I don’t lift a finger when he’s around. He’s just great.”

According to Lindsay, looking back at last year feels like “such a whirlwind.”

“In the blink of an eye, I was staring down the barrel and I’m like, ‘I’m single and starting over, this is insane,'” she recalled. “In my mind, I’m like, you know what? Clearly the universe did not want that traditional life for me.”

“I’m excited for it to be almost like a full circle moment. I’ve obviously had a tumultuous relationship with my mother my entire life and I think the fact that I am having a baby girl is really beautiful because it gives me the opportunity to do things differently, and break that cycle,” she went on. “So I think that’s what I’m looking forward to most is giving my daughter things that I didn’t have from my mom.”

Summer House season nine is expected to begin airing on Bravo sometime later this year or early next year.
