Leon Muggli, Matt Strome Among 21 Players Cut From Washington Capitals’ Training Camp Roster trucc

   

The Washington Capitals made their first round of cuts from their training camp roster prior to the team’s second preseason game against the Boston Bruins at TD Garden on Tuesday (7 PM ET, Monumental Sports Network locally, NHL Network nationally).

Defenseman Leon Muggli, the 52nd overall pick from June’s NHL Draft, and left-wing Matt Strome, the brother of Capitals center Dylan, were among the most notable players who were cut.

The Capitals also released three players from their tryout and assigned 13 to the AHL’s Hershey Bears.
