Lala Kent claims Andy Cohen and others told her that Vanderpump Rules season 11 would be her “MVP” year before she faced a world of backlash for her behavior.

While also addressing Lisa Vanderpump‘s future on the show, sharing her thoughts on James Kennedy, 32, and Ally Lewber‘s relationship, and explaining her suggestion that Kyle Richards‘ separation from Mauricio Umansky, 53, was “staged,” Lala, 33, detailed her drama with Brittany Cartwright, 35, and admitted to thinking season 11 would be her “best season ever.”

“People like Andy Cohen were telling me, ‘This is your MVP year. You are the voice of reason,’ and I felt that way during the season. So then when it came out and the level of hate, I’m used to like, maybe a 60/40 and I was like, ‘Wow, this is very intense,’ because I did feel like I was making sense,” Lala said on the June 10 episode of Two Ts in a Pod.

As the cast continues to grow and move away from the series’ former base of SUR Restaurant, many have wondered if Lisa will continue to appear on the show. And, during the podcast, Teddi Mellencamp, 42, asked Lala if Lisa’s role has become “pointless.”

“I don’t know, you know, I have a soft spot in my heart for Vanderpump just because, yes, she was tough on me season 10, but when my life went very south, she reached out to me a lot just to make sure that I was hanging in there,” Lala replied.

Moving on to James and Ally, 28, Lala said she “[hopes]” their relationship lasts.

“I really really like her. I champion her,” she stated, then giving a nod to claims of violence made against James earlier this year, which Ally denied.

“[I] have tried to ask her about [that]. And when she when someone says, ‘That didn’t happen,’ … that’s a really sticky situation,” Lala noted, also pointing out that the supposed incident occurred before James got sober.

“When the problem is alcohol-fueled and someone says, ‘I’m gonna go get sober,’ there is a part of me, because I have experience, that says, okay, I think that if you’re gonna go and be sober. I don’t know that I want to say the slate is clean, but I can respect it because I’ve been in the place.,” she reasoned. “The person is trying and acknowledging, and I’ve been in a place where I have not acted in a way that I am proud of. I’ve done things, said things, and I hope that people would give me a second chance because I’ve chosen to get sober.”

When Lala was then asked about her suggestion that Kyle, 55, staged a split from Mauricio for the sake of her role on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, she revealed she was being sarcastic and admitted to feeling “so bad” that her comment was misinterpreted.

“I was trying to say — because people were saying I staged my pregnancy for a storyline — so I was saying, like, ‘Yeah, and Kyle and Mauricio staged breaking up their entire family for a storyline.’ That’s what I was saying,” she explained. “I’m like, ‘Yes, people in this industry are shaking up the entire dynamic of their family after twenty-seven years and four children for a storyline one season.'”

Also on the podcast, Lala explained her babysitter drama with Brittany, who contacted Lala’s mother about potentially hiring her and Jax Taylor‘s 3-year-old son Cruz’s nanny.

“We had a moment of beefing over a babysitter. But it was like, we could have talked about the babysitter, not on the day of my gender reveal, like, how about, ‘Hey Lisa,’ my mom, ‘congratulations on the girl that you guys are having.’ Yeah, it was like, wrong time, don’t talk to me about a f*cking babysitter today,” she stated, noting that she “[assumed]” Brittany was “tipsy” at the time.

“I was like, f*ck off, please. I went in on her. She should have never done that,” Lala continued. “Why should I have to ask you for permission? This is like a woman who we all know. It was wild.”

According to Lala, it was Jason Caperna from The Valley who took a picture of the babysitter at her gender reveal and sent it to Jax.
