Kelsey Anderson Shares How She Finds Ways for Joey Graziadei to Connect with Her Late Mother

Opening up.

Bachelor Nation fans saw Kelsey Anderson find love and get engaged to Joey Graziadei on Season 28 of “The Bachelor.”

During her time on the show, Kelsey opened up about her late mother, who passed away in 2018 after being diagnosed with breast cancer that metastasized to her bones.

Kelsey shared with Joey that she sees her mom through butterflies and the two connected over her whenever they saw butterflies during filming.

Now, Kelsey stopped by the “Bachelor Happy Hour: Golden Hour” podcast and talked more about her mom and how Joey connects with her.

Co-hosts Kathy Swarts and Susan Noles asked Kelsey if there are any ways that help Joey feel close to her mom despite him not getting to meet her.

Kelsey said, “I love telling Joey stories about my mom. Whenever anything reminds me of her, I love to tell him stories. I think that’s how I feel like Joey is able to connect with my mom. He also got me this little butterfly necklace for Valentine’s Day. It was so sweet.”

Kathy and Susan gushed over how sweet the gift is and how Joey is a “keeper.”

Kelsey continued, “I think that Joey understands the type of woman my mom was just from all the stories and the videos I show him. I show him videos of her dancing and making up songs and dance moves. She was always laughing and very positive. My siblings all say that I’m the most like her in a lot of ways. I think we all have our little quirks that are like our mom, but I definitely resemble my mom the most out of all of us. That feels special to me.”

We love Kelsey and Joey and how her mom continues living through her.
