Sending love.
Bachelor Nation fans first met Katie Thurston on Season 25 of “The Bachelor” and she returned to our screens for Season 17 of “The Bachelorette.”
Katie has been keeping fans updated with her life on social media, and she revealed online last week that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
She has been keeping followers up to date with her journey and sharing her experience with her new diagnosis.
Over the weekend, Katie posted a positive update on her Instagram Story about a test result she received to determine if her breast cancer had spread.
Over a picture of pink flowers, she wrote, “Good news! My cancer hasn’t metastasized. The cancer is however in my lymph nodes as expected.”

Katie then shared an update on her treatment plan and revealed that she will be officially moving to New York in March.
“Two more appointments left in LA before officially moving to NYC March 1st,” she said. “The anticipated order of things is fertility (egg/embryo freezing), chemo, then surgery.”
The Bachelor Nation star has mentioned before that her fertility will be impacted by the chemo, so she’s planning on preserving her eggs so she can still have kids after her treatment.
Katie finished her update with a note of gratitude for her loved ones and how she’s currently feeling after receiving the news that her cancer hasn’t metastasized.
“This last week was A LOT and I’m so thankful for my family, friends, and community here for helping me make it to my current state of mind,” she expressed. “Today I feel calm, less scared, and ready.”
We’re continuing to think of Katie and sending love to her and her family during this time. We know that her sharing her story and being so open about her journey will help so many others.
