The Bride Wars star, 45, admitted that neither she nor McConaughey, 54, wear deodorant while appearing on Wednesday's episode off Watch What Happens Live. 

'We're au naturel, you know?' she told host Andy Cohen, after he asked her whether it was true that she forced the actor to use deodorant while filming their 2008 romantic comedy, Fool's Gold.

'No! He doesn't wear deodorant,' she replied, before adding, 'And by the way, I don't either.' 

The actress also revealed that McConaughey has a has a strong scent, saying she would 'smell him from a mile [away].'

The Interstellar star previously talked about his deodorant stance in a 2008 interview with Playboy, and said Hudson would hint that he needed to do something about his body odor.

'She always brings a salt rock, which is some natural deodorant, and says, "Would you please put this on?"' he said. 'I just never wore it. No cologne, no deodorant.'

McConaughey added, 'The women in my life, including my mother, have all said, "Hey, your natural smell smells, one, like a man and, two, smells like you."'

Despite being anti-deodorant, Matthew insisted he took his personal hygiene seriously, claiming to take multiple showers a day and brush his teeth up to five times a day.

He just 'doesn't like to smell like someone or something else.'

The Oscar winner first shared his dislike of deodorant in his 2005 Sexiest Man Alive profile, telling People that he hadn't used it 'in 20 years.'

In 2021 Matthew's hygiene habits came up again as his Tropic Thunder co-star Yvette Nicole Brown discussed his unique scent.

She recalled: 'I remember that Matthew McConaughey said that he did not use deodorant and that he didn't have an odor. So my first thought was, "I'm going to get as close as I can to him to see if he's right."' 

'He does not have an odour. He smells like granola and good living. He has a sweet, sweet scent. That is just him, and it's not musty or crazy.'
