Taking to Instagram to wish Brighton footballer Lorenz a happy birthday, she shared an image of them both grinning and embracing.

Lorenz looked trendy in a black tank top while Kate stunned in a strappy white number and jeans.

She wrote in her caption: "Happy 19th birthday to you! Proud of you every day & love you so so very much! Special one."

Alongside another, where the teenager looked visibly younger, the influencer asked: "How did that happen?"

Kate and Rio, 46, began dating in 2016 after the death of his first wife, Rebecca Ellison.

Rebecca sadly passed away from breast cancer in 2015, at the age of 34.

When her death was announced it prompted an outpouring of grief from the footballing world.

Rio and Kate opened up about their initial struggles in the BBC documentary Rio And Kate: Becoming A Stepfamily in 2020.

However, Kate told Fabulous in 2023: “I feel settled. “[Experts] say it takes up to seven years to adjust to a new blended, stepfamily set-up.

"I remember hearing that and thinking: ‘Are you joking? I’m two years in and that’s a really long time.’

"But now we’re six years in and we’re all used to each other.

"It takes a while to get to know people after so much trauma and everything that has gone on.

"Becoming a parent is not built in big, sweeping moments. It’s lots of small things you do all the time.

"And it takes time to build that bond and relationship. But now I feel secure.”

She added: “Looking back, everything takes time.

"You can’t go into a new job and expect to know what you’re doing straight away if no one tells you what to do.

"It’s the same coming into an already formed family. You need to know each other and learn to love each other.

"But if you put in the hard work, you reap the rewards.”

Since tying the knot with Rio in 2019, Kate has welcomed two children with her husband.

Their son Cree was born in December 2020 - having announced they were expecting in June.

Three years later, Kate and Rio welcomed daughter Shae to the blended family.
