Karen Byrne 'smashes' her Dancing With The Stars Ireland judging debut trucc

It's never easy changing jobs but Karen Byrne smoothly made the transition from dancer to judge on Dancing With The Stars on Sunday.

The professional dancer has swapped sides this year, going from being on the dancefloor herself to critiquing those showing off their moves.

Fans loved seeing her on the panel, with many saying she 'smashed' her judging debut and that they already couldn't imagine her not in the role.

Replying to Karen's post on Instagram, one person told her to ‘take a bow’ as she ‘smashed it’ on night one.

Others praised her for putting her own experience to good use, with another writing: ’You’re honest and totally understand the game from working on the other side.

'You’re fair while giving good advice. Build the confidence and don’t knock it.’

Another added: ‘Fab job Karen and why wouldn't you as you have dance experience like the other judges ie you are a dancer and a dance teacher so your flying.’

‘You're a fantastic judge, you tell it as it is. Comment of the night - stiff Mickey,’ wrote someone else.

It sounds like Karen also loved her judging debut. After the show, she said: 'What a night. How amazing were all of the Season 8 Contestants?

'We are in for another AMAZING season of Dancing With The Stars. I am SO HAPPY to be able to watch these amazing partnerships from the best seat in the house, the judges' table.'

Karen looked fabulous for her judging debut, getting 'suited and booted' in a tuxedo-inspired look created by Phoenix_V.

Her outfit consisted of a cropped blazer with statement shoulder pads over a cropped white shirt and a maxi-length skirt. Adding a touch of sparkle, Karen wore a glittering silver tie.

We can't wait to see Karen back on the judging panel again this weekend!
