Bachelor Nation is celebrating yet another happily ever after!
Zach Shallcross and Kaity Biggar — who met and got engaged on season 27 of the reality TV show in 2023 — got married in Texas on Friday, May 23, according to court documents obtained by TMZ.
During the finale episode of their season, Biggar accepted Shallcross' final rose — and his romantic proposal — in Thailand. After they each shared that they were in love with the other, Shallcross told his now-wife, "Kaity, I want to be with you forever. My heart is beating through my chest right now."
He then dropped to one knee and asked, "Will you marry me?" Her answer: "Absolutely."
Shallcross presented Biggar with a dazzling Neil Lane oval-cut diamond engagement ring, which she described as being like "a huge disco ball."
The couple later revealed they were "thinking about 2025" for a wedding and teased their wish to start a family sometime in the future. "We'll see what happens after that with little ones," Shallcross said.
Two years after their engagement, Biggar shared an update on the couple's wedding plans during an appearance on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast on March 19. Without revealing a specific date, she said they planned to say "I do" sometime this year.
"Life is great," she declared at the time. "Zach and I decided we're gonna get married this year. No, I'm not telling you the date. But yeah, we're so excited."
Biggar said their intention was to "just go to city hall" to make things official, while noting that they were simply enjoying their life together as it unfolded.
"I'm just loving this stage in our relationship and where we are in life that I'm just soaking it all in," she explained. "We're traveling so much, and I just love that man to death."
She revealed that the two settled on a courthouse ceremony after getting an idea of how much a wedding would cost. After being quoted $70,000 to $80,000, she said the thought occurred to her to just "sign the damn paper" at their local courthouse.
"And then we'll have a huge party later down the road," she recalled suggesting to Shallcross. "And he honestly lit up when I said that. Because it wasn't his idea. He's like, 'If you want the big wedding, we'll do it. If you want the small wedding, whatever you want.' And I was like, 'This is what I want,' and he's like, 'Hell yeah.' "
