JoJo Siwa already has plans to return to British shores just hours after returning to LA after an explosive stint on Celebrity Big Brother.
The US media star, 21, made quite the splash after finishing third on the latest season of the popular reality series where she formed a close bond with housemate, Love Island star Chris Hughes.
Since leaving the house, JoJo has broken up with her partner Kath Ebbs and spent plenty of time with Chris and his friends as the pair both reiterated their relationship was purely ‘platonic’.
Although JoJo did caveat this in a chat with Cat Deeley and Ben Shepherd on This Morning who asked whether there was a potential romance in the air, adding: ‘Whatever life does, life will do.’
And explained she was leaving imminently to which Chris responded: ‘Heartbreak hotel… bless her, she’s a good one.’
Following a whirlwind few days in London, also catching up with winner Jack P. Shepherd, the Dance Moms star has arrived back in Los Angeles – but has made clear she has every intention of returning as soon as she can.
JoJo Siwa has had nothing but glowing words forthe UK
The Dance Moms star has been the talk of the town after a surprising journey on Big Brother
In an Instagram post with snaps of her lugging her suitcases along with a big grin, she wrote: ‘Back home. Running off of 20 hours of sleep total post leaving the house. Missing the U.K.’
The Karma singer then teased she ‘may have good news of going back soon’ and even revealed her next plans of rehearsing for her ‘next music video’ from tomorrow.
‘Feeling exhausted but so GRATEFUL,’ she concluded.
PR expert Hayley told Metro that JoJo’s time on Celebrity Big Brother has ‘catapulted her to fame’ in the UK.
She continued: ‘Though the dynamic [between Chris and JoJo] captivated audiences, and definitely helped to get people talking, it is wrong to say that this was the sole cause of JoJo’s public interest.
‘Her individualism in the house, showing off her authenticity, openness to have tough conversations and being ever present also cemented this.’
And, given she has been a public persona since she was nine-years-old, she has had a great springboard to amplify her UK popularity, but she’ll have to work hard to maintain it.
‘JoJo also has an advantage that other previous US contestants may not have had – a huge online presence.
‘Though predominantly US based, JoJo would have gained multitudes of new UK based followers throughout her time in the show, so she’s already got a great platform to springboard from,’ PR expert Hayley Knight explained.
‘However, to maintain her popularity and presence in the UK, it will require strategic engagement and an understanding of the UK audience, which is very different to the US.
‘Announcing her UK tour will help with this, showcasing her commitment to her newfound UK audience, rather than returning straight back to the US.’
All in all it’s looking to be a ‘significant turning point’ in her career going from ‘influencer to international celebrity’ with Celebrity Big Brother being a ‘positive catalyst for her career and reputation’.
JoJo has been vocal about her love for the UK since the end of the show last week, at one point uploading an Instagram story sharing that she ‘just wanted to stay’ here.
In her first post to her followers, she praised everyone for their wonderful support.
She wrote: What a 20 DAYS!!!! I’ve stayed awake all night seeing the love from you beautiful Britts!! And hearing that you guys like seeing the other side of my life is a relief, I’ve been a bit scared to show that side of me.’
After the final on Friday her ex-partner, Kath, jetted into London to meet her but just hours later the couple broke up at the wrap party.
Kath shared the news in a candid social media post saying she felt ‘humiliated’ and JoJo expanded on exactly what went down that night on This Morning.
‘I’ll be honest, that was not a plan, that was not an intention, that was not supposed to happen like that,’ she said, adding that things came to a head when Kath asked if she was happy to which JoJo replied ‘no’.
Reflecting on how her friendship with Chris influenced her, she continued: ‘I think our friendship, it’s hard to explain. It’s just a strong bond between two people, just a strong friendship. I think you can have a soulmate friendship.’
As for exactly when we can expect JoJo back, time will tell but with her US tour kicking off in just over two months, it will probably be sooner rather than later.
