Jess Edwards Dishes on Her ‘Paradise’ Love Triangle and Revealing Conversation with Spencer Conley tram

Bachelor Nation fans got to know Jess Edwards on Season 28 of “The Bachelor,” and now she has returned for “Bachelor in Paradise” Season 10!

The new season of “Paradise” just premiered, and fans quickly saw a love triangle form between Jess, Spencer Conley, and Sam McKinney. 

Now, Jess is joining the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast to dish all about what went down and share the revealing conversation she had with Spencer before her date with Sam. 

When it came to knowing whether Sam was going to ask her on the date, Jess revealed she had a feeling he might. 

She said, “He pulled me first for a chat. So we talked and I kind of was getting the vibe after the first conversation, so I’m like, ‘We’re going to do this the right way. I don’t want to make anyone upset.’”

Since Jess and Spencer had formed a connection the day before, she expressed how she wanted to chat with him before officially going on the date with Sam. 

Jess shared, “I immediately pulled Spencer. I’m like, ‘Wanna go for a little walk on the beach?’ and he’s like, ‘Yeah.’ He already knew what’s coming, and honestly it was good, though… I wanna see how he reacts because it’s two days in. If he’s like, ‘Heck no, you’re not going on that date,’ then that’s kind of a red flag. So it was a good test to see what his reaction was gonna be, see how he handled it.” 

Jess spilled more about her revealing conversation with Spencer, saying, “The first thing that he said, he was like, ‘Well, I want someone who chooses me.’ And I remember in my head I was like, ‘Oh, this is not gonna go well.’ And then he was like, ‘But you know, it’s day two. I think you should go. That’s what we came here to do… We are completely different people, so you need to see what you like. You should go if he asks you.’”

The Bachelor Nation star then dished about the moment Sam asked her out and admitted that it wasn’t how she expected it to go. 

She said, “Obviously he ends up asking me. Actually, I say he asked me, but he actually didn’t even ask me, which was interesting. So he’s just like, ‘Hey, Jess, come here’ and kind of summons me over and I’m like, ‘Okay.’

“We start walking and getting farther and farther away from the group. I’m like, ‘Wait, so what are we doing right now?’ He’s like, ‘Oh, we’re going on the date,’ and I was like, ‘Oh! Right now? Got it!’ I didn’t even know that he was officially asking me. That’s how it went down. It was so funny… I mean first one-on-one, I was pumped. I was like, ‘I don’t even care what we’re doing. I just am finally getting to go on a date.’”
