Jennifer Zamparelli has teased who she would like to see win Dancing With The Stars this year.

The hit dance competition show returned to RTÉ One and RTÉ Player in January 2025 for a brand-new season.

The series is once again hosted by Jennifer and Doireann Garrihy this season.

Speaking to Goss.ie ahead of becoming an ambassador of the Coolmine Therpeutic Community, Jennifer revealed she has two pick of who she would like to lift the glitterball this year.

The 44-year-old confessed: “I have two, but I can say it is unfair of course.”

“Especially when I look at down who has been working on the show for so long and have never lifted the glitter ball.”

“I’m like, this is your year.”

She continued: “I think Salome is one a character and professional dancer who we have on the show that is under appreciated.”

“I think she showed her comic timing last week when she did the Mrs. Brown’s voice.”

“My mother called me, she was like, ‘oh, she can act as well’.”

“She’s very funny.”

Jennifer has become an ambassador for the Coolmine Therpeutic Community – a drug & alcohol treatment centre that brings clients on a journey of recovery.

Speaking about why she wanted to work with the community, the former radio presenter confessed: “I had never heard of this organisation before, if I’m honest.”

“I got a very persistent email kept coming into my inbox from Sarah and inviting me to go out to Coolmine to Ashley House – which is a rehabilitation center  specifically for women.”

“I never had the time with radio to do these things. I was working seven days a week.”

“So when I stopped doing the radio, our family found to this space where I had time to do this type of stuff.”

“Something about this place kind of struck a chord at me because it’s been around for years and it’s doing great work, but I didn’t really know what they did.”

She later admitted: “I suppose I’ve seen what addiction can do.”

“I had close friends who’ve struggled with addiction from a very young age and two very good friends of mine.

“I’ve seen them recover and go on to have his own family and is clean and happy years later.”

“I’ve seen that recovery if possible, and a light is possible after, but our first step and I place needs to be there.”
