Opening up.
Bachelor Nation fans got to know Jenn Tran on Season 21 of “The Bachelorette,” and she has been keeping fans updated with her life on social media ever since, often sharing about the amazing opportunities she’s been able to experience.
Now, the Bachelor Nation star is looking back and revealing the top 10 life lessons she learned while in her 20s.
In a new video online, she shared, “I’m figuring things out and everything is a journey. And I’m very much appreciative of that and very well aware of that, and I’m very well aware that success doesn’t happen overnight. It’s about the journey; it’s about how you get there. And so it’s been a lot of growing pains… I very rarely want to give advice because I’m always the listener, but I feel wise at the moment. And so here’s 10 things that I’ve learned in the past year.”

Jenn went on to list 10 things she’s learned, starting with her most important lesson.
“Number one is the most important thing ever. You are the only person that is going to be looking out for yourself,” she expressed. “You are the only one who really knows you and yourself to your core. What you want, what you need, you know yourself the best… At the end of the day, you are your biggest advocate.”
The Bachelor Nation star then listed the next few lessons, including learning it’s okay to take time for yourself, not being afraid to be uncomfortable or bad at something, and saying yes to more things.
She revealed, “Because I started my TikTok, and I was uncomfortable and I was bad at it and I kept pushing through it, I gained a little bit of traction and then eventually someone from the casting section of ‘The Bachelor’ found me through my PA school TikToks. She was like, ‘I saw your TikTok, I would love to have you interview for “The Bachelor.”’ And one thing led to another and here I am, but I said yes at the end of the day… I think this year I really realized the power of saying yes to it all because it genuinely changed my life.”
Jenn then explained how she wants to become someone her kids would be proud of and leave a positive digital footprint, especially after being on TV.

She also shared how she learned to value the women in her life more, not be afraid to be vulnerable, that being stern is different from being rude to someone, and to never let someone dim her light.
Jenn then shared her last and favorite lesson, which has to do with her parents.
She said, “Number 10 is my last one and it’s my best one. It’s our parents’ first time living too. With my mom, because she immigrated over here, I really want to give back to her and I really want to make her so proud and I want to be able to give her all the fun things that maybe she wasn’t able to give herself because she was so busy working for our family. Working for me to give me a better life… Anyways, give back to your parents whenever you can.”
Jenn then ended her video with a note of hope, saying, “Hopefully somebody got something out of this. Hopefully this was inspiring in some way. Hopefully this allowed you to understand me a little bit more and why I move the way I move and who I am.”
We love following Jenn’s journey and hearing about everything she’s learned over the past year. We can’t wait to see what other amazing things she does next!
