Janette Manrara has shared another dose of reality of being a busy working mum as she appeared emotional giving an update ahead of her return to the theatre stage.

The dancer and presenter hasn't had much time to take a rest since finishing up her first stint in the famous role of Roxie Hart in Chicago.

Janette made her stage debut in the role earlier this year, before recently taking a break - but not of the rest kind. She has instead been busy performing alongside her husband Aljaz Skorjanec in their own show, A Night To Remember.

It was described as being the Strictly Come Dancing stars' biggest show to date, featuring a sensational ensemble of some of the UK’s very best dancers and singers, with Janette and Aljaz themselves taking to the dance floor to perform stunning routines to an eclectic array of music.

The 19-date tour kicked off last month before the last show took place on Sunday (June 8) in Torquay at the Princess Theatre. And Janette and Aljaz had quite the support as they took to the stage for the last time - for now.

Janette revealed on social media that her family, including her parents, brother, sister and grandmother, had flown over to see her and Aljaz in action, before sticking around to watch her perform in Chicago.

Sharing a sweet video of herself and her grandmother, the 41-year-old shared: "My 86-year-old grandmother made it safely over from Miami and watched me dance for the first time since I was just a little girl [pink heart emojis]."

Alongside another joyous video, Janette explained: "My aunts, uncles, mom and brother were also able to fly over from Miami to come watch. The Cubans took over backstage [crying laughing emoji]."

Later, addressing the end of the tour alongside a number of photos of her and Aljaz on stage with their cast, Janette said: "Tonight was our last performance of @rememberingtour

#ANightToRemember and what a joy it has been. These incredible people were an absolute joy to be on the road with! We always say it, but we mean it, we really do have the kindest and best crew in the business, and now we can also say the same for our band, and of course our super talented cast.

"To everyone that came and watched, we hope you enjoyed it as much as we enjoyed performing it. Until next time…. Watch this space."

But it was on Monday (June 9) that Janette seemed emotional as she explained how her daughter, Lyra, still wasn't well and how she was struggling with them not being together.

Talking directly to the camera in a video posted to her Instagram Story, she said: "Hi team. Hello, happy Monday first and foremost. Update, last night we finished A Night to Remember in Torquay and straight after the show, Aljaz and I got straight into a car and checked into a hotel in Wimbledon at about two in the morning to be here ready to rehearse and get ready to go back into Chicago today.

"We have our first show in Wimbledon tonight and it's my first show back after four weeks, but just Lyra's still unwell, she's got a bit of a fever. And you know those moments you just wish you could be there, cuddling them and holding them, but you can't because you have to be at work.

"So this is just a shoutout to all parents out there that you got to do what you gotta do. But sometimes it's tough, Today's one of those tough days but being back in Chicago and seeing everybody, and my family are coming to watch tonight, is going to help me through it all."
