Jane Moore from Loose Women Confronts 'New Nightmare' Following Sale of Family Residence trucc

Loose Women star Jane Moore has previously opened up about facing a 'hefty legal bill' after the sale of her home fell through, and while it has now sold, it left her with a fresh horor
 
Loose Women's Jane Moore has been hit with a "fresh horror" as she gears up to finally part ways with the home she once shared with her ex-husband.

Jane and Gary Farrow called it quits in 2022, agreeing to sell their joint property and purchase individual homes. However, in September, Jane was left reeling from an unexpected financial blow when potential buyers pulled out just a week before the exchange, leaving her "back to square one" and saddled with a "hefty legal bill".

Despite the setback, Jane has now successfully sold her house. However she was confronted with a "fresh hell" as she tackles the cleaning before completion.

The 62-year-old journalist confesses that keeping a "spotless" home has never been her forte. Unlike some of her friends who maintain homes "completely free of dirt and clutter", Jane hasn't followed suit.

She's always managed "done the basics", but as her career took off, she opted to hire a cleaner for additional support. Yet, during the crucial completion week, Jane's regular cleaner was unavailable, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Penning her experience in Platinum magazine, Jane remarked: "I could have booked agency cleaners, of course, but I felt that by the time I had explained to them everything that needed doing, it would probably be quicker just to do it myself.

"And so, I set about the mammoth task of making the family home we lived in for 20 years look presentable before handing it over to the new owners. Every cupboard yielded a fresh horror of miscellaneous items that, clearly not knowing what to do with them at the time, we had shoved into a dark recess to 'deal with later'."

Jane describes her days as an "endless cycle" of trips to the tip and charity shops. Despite her initial fear of starting the cleaning process, she confesses she soon began to "love the cathartic energy" it provided.

After completing the house clean-up, Jane felt "cleansed" by the process. While she doesn't see herself becoming a "year-round devotee" of cleaning, she can now envision herself participating in a spring clean.

In 2022, Jane announced her split from her "best friend" and long-term partner Gary. She told Loose Women that they had initially postponed their separation after Gary suffered an injury.

"So we are both quite private people and we had discussed it last year and it was going to happen last year," she shared. "But he fell and broke his leg - I didn't push him."

From her marriage to Gary, Jane has a stepdaughter named Lauren, and she also has two daughters from another relationship.
