Jake Paul Warned of Major Issue Weeks Ahead of Mike Tyson Boxing Showdown trucc

Jake Paul's rearranged fight with former world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson is a little over a month away, and footage of the 27-year-old in training has been released

Boxing fans have asked questions of Jake Paul's fitness as the 27-year-old prepares to fight Mike Tyson.

YouTuber-turned fighter Paul is gearing up to take on former world heavyweight champion Tyson, who is more than double his age at 58. The meeting was originally scheduled for July, but was pushed back amid health concerns for the older man.

The pair will now face off in November at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Paul goes into the bout with a 10-1 record, most recently beating Mike Perry over the summer.

In recently-shared Instagram footage, Paul can be shown preparing for the bout during his training camp. However, a number of fans didn't seem convinced when catching sight of the Ohioan.

"He does not look fit at all," one fan wrote in response to the footage. However, others argued Paul's look wasn't that surprising considering he has moved up in weight to take on Tyson.

Others continued to back Tyson, despite the former champ being more than 30 years Paul's senior. "You might be fooling these young kids who didn't grow up watching Tyson.... Mike is going to knock you all the way back to the Disney channel chump," wrote one.

"Real talk! He doesn't understand who he's facing," another reply read. "Power doesn't have an age limit. It stays with muscle memory."

For Tyson, it's a first bout since an exhibition fight with Roy Jones Jr in 2020. His last professional bout, against Kevin McBride, took place back in 2005

An ulcer flare-up prompted the delay in his return to the ring, with the bout postponed after medical professionals were consulted. That decision was made in May, with an emphasis at the time that the health of the fighters was the most important thing.

Boxing legend 'Sugar' Shane Mosley has offered a warning to Paul ahead of the rearranged fight. “If Mike really hits Jake, Mike can really hurt Jake, and I know what Mike can do and what Jake can do,” the 53-year-old told the Philadelphia Inquirer.

“I don’t think Jake really understands how hard Mike can hit. Mike is 58, but these are two-minute rounds and all fighters have pride. I don’t think Mike will be going in there to lose to Jake Paul. Jake thinks he can take a shot.

“In the first five or six rounds, and what makes this so fun, is that getting hit by Mike Tyson is dangerous, very dangerous. Jake will have to tire Mike out. Jake will need to understand how these punches will come at him.

"People need to understand that a bar fight between two guys is one thing, a professional fighter, especially a former world champion, regardless of age, is still a very dangerous man who can seriously hurt you. I don’t know how long they would be able to hurt you [laughs], but these are punches from people who have been throwing punches all their lives.”
