Jake Paul is building quite the reputation for handpicking his opponents and making sure they are considerably smaller in size than him and the same thing rang true this past Saturday when he stepped into the ring with Mike Perry.

Originally, ‘The Problem Child’ was scheduled to take on former undisputed heavyweight boxing champion, Mike Tyson, but ‘Iron’ Mike withdrew from the bout due to health issues.

Instead of canceling the event, Jake Paul picked a new opponent with former UFC welterweight and current BKFC star, Mike Perry, being the fortunate candidate.

Paul went on to pick up his 10th professional boxing win after finishing Perry in the sixth round.

Jake Paul reveals how much he weighed on fight night
Perry, who has fought the majority of his MMA career at 170lbs, weighed in on Friday night ahead of the fight at 196.6lbs, the most he’s ever weighed in at for combat competition.

The 27-year-old Internet sensation, on the other hand, weighed in at 200lbs even, which on the face of things doesn’t seem like a big weight advantage.

Despite that, Paul has since revealed how much he weighed on fight night on Saturday night, with him towering over Perry in the boxing ring.

His revelation comes in response to Conor McGregor after the Irishman shamed him on X for fighting someone 40lbs lighter than him.

“People say everything about weight difference. 40 (lbs) or whatever. I was 212 (lbs) in the ring (on Saturday), so 10lb difference, that’s common in boxing,” Jake Paul stated on BS w/ Jake Paul.

McGregor isn’t the only one to criticize the vlogger-turned-boxer for his cherry-picking ways, as UFC commentator Michael Bisping has also slammed Paul for being a weight bully.

Jake Paul shares what Mike Perry told him after their fight
Before ‘The Problem Child’ decided to bizarrely call out UFC light heavyweight champion, Alex Pereira, he and the 32-year-old had a conversation in the ring, and Paul has shared what Perry allegedly told him.

“He was just like, ‘Man, you got so much faster, you’re so fast, I couldn’t do anything, you hit hard, you hit harder than my training partners, I wasn’t prepared for that’, same old s***,” Paul claimed.

Despite that, the 27-year-old did express his respect for ‘Platinum’ for doing what he claims, others won’t.

“There’s a respect because a lot of people won’t actually get into the ring. He sold the fight great, he stood there and took the shots, put it all on the line and I respect any man honestly that gets into the ring and is willing to risk it all,” Paul continued.
