Ranvir Singh was standing in for Lorraine Kelly on Wednesday's episode of her ITV show when she uncovered an I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! secret.
Ranvir Singh is currently standing in for Lorraine Kelly on her self-titled show, while the Scottish host takes some time out for the festive period. During her latest interview, the star managed to get the latest gossip from one former I'm A Celeb campmate.
The Good Morning Britain presenter welcomed Beyond Paradise star and comedian Seann Walsh to the programme for a live on-air interview, when he accidentally let slip that one I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! star had been axed from the group chat.
Seann had been discussing his time in the Jungle in 2022 and how the cast had compared to the 2024 series.
ITV fans will recall that the comedian had been joined on the show by former Health Secretary Matt Hancock, who at the time was not very popular with the public after he'd broken Covid-19 rules that he himself had set in 2020.
During the conversation, Seann accidentally let slip that Matt was not part of the Whatsapp group chat. Realising he'd overstepped the mark, he lamented: "Ohh what have I done."
They had been chatting about the "warmth" between the 2024 cast, with them all coming out this December and being good friends.
It had been quite an interesting year because Matt Hancock made his first TV debut after stepping down from his parliamentary role and after breaking Covid-19 rules, he wasn't exactly popular in the camp either.
Knowing that Matt had clashed horns with many people on the programme, Ranvir was keen to explore if bridges had been built over time but was shocked to learn relationships had seemingly weathered.
In response to her initial question over being friends with Matt, Seann subtly dodged, telling her: "He finished above me, unbelievable."
Ranvir continued: "Are you still in touch with your gang? Because this year's cast on I'm A Celebrity have been so warm and lovely." Sean insisted that his own clan were just as "warm" with one another.
Having none of it, the host continued to probe: "It was a slightly odd time then, because I think post-covid and then I think Matt Hancock was there, so there was a bit more controversy, but this year there was no controversy really."
"Yes, you're right, I remember being stood in between Boy George and Matt Hancock having an argument - that was very tense," Seann admitted.
Seann went on to reveal that he is still close with Sue Cleaver and Boy George and even exchanged texts with the singer recently, saying they were messages that "he couldn't repeat" on-air.
Ranvir continued: "But no little, 'How are you doing', from your old friend Matt?" I don't think Matt's in the group - poor Matt." Seann finally let slip: "He's not in the group?" quickly following up with: "Ohh no what have I done."
Sean retracted: "Maybe he is. I don't know," as Ranvir chirped in with: "Shall we move on?" The comedian stated: "I'm not the first to say that."
"Did he exit himself or did the admin go in an get rid of him?" asked Lorraine's stand-in star. "Oh no, I'm not getting involved. Maybe he is back in the group," explained a squirming Seann.
"Back in the room, back in the group, you're backtracking now," quipped the ITV star.
Lorraine airs weekdays on ITV1, from 9am.
