Celebrity Big Brother fans have accused producers of 'shunning' Lauren Simon after her eviction from the show on Tuesday, in favour of giving Sharon Osbourne all the spotlight, as she also left the house.
Having survived the first elimination of the ITV reboot against Gary Goldsmith on Friday, as Lauren got more public votes than Kate Middleton's uncle, Lauren found herself up for the chop for the second time in a matter of days, having been nominated by eight of her co-stars.
This time Real Housewives of Cheshire star found herself up against Louis Walsh and Fern Britton, after Fern was swapped to keep Zeze Millz out of danger by Sharon Osbourne. And unfortunately for Lauren,. on this occasion she didn't enough support from viewers to stay in, as she followed Gary out the door.
Moments after Lauren exited to a largely positive reaction, celebrity 'lodger' Sharon's time on the show also came to an end, as she left to a reception fit for a Celebrity Big Brother, as her adoring crowd went wild and she was greeted with a hug from daughter Kelly. After credits rolled on the main CBB show on ITV1, presenters AJ Odudu and Will Best hotfooted next host to front spin-off Late & Live and, just like she was moments, earlier, Sharon was the main attraction, as Lauren was made to wait in the wings for her eviction interview.
The focus on Sharon didn't go unnoticed by people watching at home, who claimed that Lauren had been 'snubbed' in favour of the spotlight being turned firmly on Mrs O. Making that point, one X user wrote: "Why was late & live so focused on giving Sharon priority? Lauren never stood a chance" as another reacted: "Will and AJ pushing Lauren out the way so they can talk to Queen Sharon"
